My neighbor had a very ill cat that desperately needed to be euthanized after months of suffering from lack of care. He had no possibility of paying for the service, but this clinic agreed to help me at no charge. The techs and the vet who helped me, Dr. Russman (?), were so unbelievably kind and caring. The doctor worked me in just hours after I spoke with the front desk They treated this cat as if she was their own. Lots of tears, but much more gratitude for their simple grace in the face of an obviously-neglected pet. Angels walking on this earth, everyone of them! Thank you, VCA! These folks have real hearts!!

Just like humans pets can get cataracts. My 17yo little girl had developed them and our regular vet said not to worry until they totally occlude the eye. A little digging recommended taking care of them early. Canine cataracts won't return after they've been removed. So the hunt for a ophthalmologist began. One said it was 8 weeks for an appt. VCA was 2 weeks. Appt made. Dr Peterson took good care of her. A couple of tests on the retina showed that she is a candidate for cataract surgery.

What a waste of time. Their triage is absolutely terrible! My dog had a severe internal allergic reaction and his face, throat eyes and entire body were swollen, dog constantly vomiting, lethargic and refused to eat but they refused to see him as an urgent case. You are better off just digging a grave for your fur baby than taking them to this place.

I almost never leave negative reviews, but sometimes a business is totally inconsiderate of you and your time in a repeatable way so it seems worth sharing so others know what to expect.I had an appointment for my dog to see a specialist at 1:00 p.m. today. In order to go to that appointment I had to take off work, drive across town to my house to get my dog, and drive back across town to their location on Montgomery. I did all of that and arrived at the office at about 12:50. BUT, I had screwed up and pulled into the wrong place, another vet office just down Montgomery- less than 10 minutes away. I went in there and it took a few minutes to figure out that I was at the wrong vet office. Totally my bad. Once I figured that out it was still a few minutes before 1:00 so I called VCA and explained that I was close by and asked for the address and started driving over- I was literally on Montgomery. I explained that I would arrive in less than ten minutes. This was at 12:59. So...their employee says "I am going to need to place you on a brief hold." That's fine, and I am heading over there. So she leaves me on hold for several minutes and when she comes back it's 1:03 and my GPS says I will be there in 5 minutes. She says "I talked to the team and we will need to re-schedule."I like honestly couldn't believe it. I was going to be less than 10 minutes late. I said that I would be there in less than five minutes and she replied "Yes, exacty." I thought that was pretty rude. I haven't mentioned that I was on my way to my $260 (!) "consultation." I don't know exactly how short the consultation was going to be (maybe it was only like 20 minutes), but I think you can get an idea from this story.I am sure I can find somebody else to give my dog a $260 consultation. I have several pets and I can tell you: there are other places in town for specialty pet services.

We waited 5 hours for our cat to be seen in their ER. I was told they were closing early, at 5 pm, but that we would still be seen, for sure, they said. At 4:30 pm they sent several people waiting to be seen, home. Without being seen, my cat being one of them. So they lied to us. I don't see the purpose in building a n additional, new facility, when they don't have enough staff for this facility.

The doctors and staff at this VCA Veterinary Hospital did a wonderful job for me getting my cat through a very serious disease: feline panleukopenia (AKA distemper). This is a very contagious and serious disease. One of my cats died from it before I could get her to care. The people at VCA were skilled, caring, responsive, and compassionate. I would not hesitate to use them again, particularly in an emergency situation.

This is for the Emergency side of the hospital only. I gave 5 stars because the care is top notch. You definitely get what you pay for. Text updates about your pet, emailed invoices so you can keep track of what you are owing. Very nice, clean facility and well staffed. Those are all the positives. The prices are a 0 star. It feels very much like you are being taken advantage of in your time of need and it puts a very heavy emphasis on "how much do you care about your pet?" I hope to never have to come back here because even though we are a two income household, we couldn't afford what was a life saving surgery for our 2 year old Mainecoon. We did find another vet to do the surgery for a quarter of the price of the VCA. To put it in perspective, the first quote for just the surgery alone was $4000 - $6000. By the time it came down to "this needs to be done today" it suddenly jumped to $6000 - $8700. No idea how. We actually considered putting our cat down. The other vet (Los Lunas Animal Clinic, which I will write a review on once my cat makes it out.) did the surgery for $2700. So if you are feeling overwhelmed and out of options like we were, do call around. Do not believe the vet when they say they "think the prices are about the same everywhere." It's bs. Don't give up hope, pet parent.

I have several experiences with with the VCA. One, a general practice visit. Easy to get in, vet was caring, fee was outrageous. A 15 minute visit, $200 (so basically $800 per hour!) The staff is knowledgeable and provide great care. It's definitely overpriced, which doesn't help pet owners esp with 6.5% inflation. I would recommend VCA if your pet needs a specialist, but not for general care.

My pup and I spent a Sunday morning here into the afternoon. She's usually trembling in vet's offices but, even with a full waiting room, she stayed calm this time. Everyone treated us warmly, from the front desk staff to the vet techs to the doc. I don't know if we just landed there on a particularly good day, but it felt like compassion pervaded that place. I would take my precious girl there again without hesitation and recommend it to friends.

My dog is doing well. I took my dog here as a referral. I can post some positives and some negatives about this place so that is why I am giving them 3 stars.

I was sent here by our vet to see a specialist. I have a very large, reactive dog. The staff helped me get him into the exam room with mininum upset to my dog and the other animals in the office! The vet tech and the vet were both very thorough and informative. They have been in contact with me for follow-up. I could not be more impressed with everyone at this facility.

I gave this place 4 tries. The vet I had has a huge ego and he will argue with you, is apparently afraid of large dogs and effectively stressed my 13 year dog out...not good. Worse...vet didn't read the case notes and was going to prescribe a NSAID on top of what the dog is on until I reminded him he's already on one. He was unable to look inside dog's mouth and unable to aspirate a cyst and the tech was incompetent..poor dog fell on his haunches. I offered to help knowing I could get my dog to open his mouth but they refused that option. The female techs there are very good however and it's unfortunate they have this one lousy vet. Receptionist was NOT pleasant and almost defensive when qurstions about simple scheduling were asked. I am going elsewhere as 200 bucks for this visit where nothing was actually done except prescribing 10 days worth of clindamycin is crazy.

We have been to this veterinary clinic a couple of times 1 for an emergency and one for a specialist for ophthalmology. The staff is always very polite. You have to be ready to pay your full entire amount of your bill at the end of service. I would recommend this place for an emergency situation for your pet.

The entire veterinarian staff was so wonderful, compassionate and helpful. I am very impressed and will use them in the future if needed.
