I went out of my way to come to this store because it said online that it’s open until 11pm\\u0026 it was 10pm when I arrived so I was pumped I made it with plenty of time to spare. Coming from the Los Ranchos area isn’t super time consuming but it’s not a skip n a jump away either…..ANYways, I get here to the Academy store and immediately notice that IM noticed. I ignore it and do my shopping, as I’m searching for my fave shampoo\\u0026conditioner, I’m approached by an elderly male employee who says to me, “ They wanted me to tell you that were closing in 5minutes and for you to bring your things to checkout..” I asked him, “ They told you to tell me specifically?” He says no but doesn’t approach the young couple 7feet away in the next aisle. I go to self check out and the manager and 2employees see me and leave the front of the area and stand right at the end of the register Im using and watch me, to add insult to injury they turn and walk away (there’s 6other people in self checkout at that moment)as soon as I’ve paid and gotten my change and receipt. They’re Not interested one bit in the other people who were at the self checkout registers…… I am SO beyond disgusted and simultaneously embarrassed4the conduct

This location is always clean and well stocked. The employees are friendly and helpful. I like coming here! Even the pharmacist was very helpful with questions about meds for my father! Thank you

This used to be my favorite store. Now, my partner has twice had to walk out and leave his cart full of groceries because they don't have enough cashiers and/or management doesn't wish to pitch in when lines are long. 1 or 2 registers open during busy times is unacceptable. If you can't find cashiers, try paying a living wage.

not following Covid safe guidelines. Way over capacity just after 5:15 pm, no cart sanitization even though sign claims it but I watched as they brought carts in and dropped them from outside. No one following directions on the floor, no one social distancing (how can you when too many people are in the store) , extremely long lines. Capacity should have someone counting the # of people as to not exceed. I was blocked in my parking space as someone was sitting in the middle waiting for someone , they moved just enough for me to get out but still a close call. Can't trust this location, plus hardly had anything in stock especially in yogurt.

I ordered my grocery pickup and sat there for 50 mins!!! The two girls working said they were to only ones working and I needed to talk to the manager. Well, I went in and the manager was too busy because he was working a check out line. I will NEVER shop there again!

My only issue with this store is employees, as wonderful as they are, wear their masks incorrectly. Masks should cover both the nose and the mouth. Wearing a mask under the nose renders the mask useless.

While I've been getting prescriptions at Smith's for years, I'm moving on. At least six months ago, probably more like a year, the pharmacy offered to get my three prescriptions in synch, so I wouldn't have to stop in so often. In all this time, it never worked. Drugs that should be automatically refilled aren't always ready, and that means a wait, or coming back in. Others that I no longer take (and I informed the pharmacy more than once) are still dispensed. When I went in this week, I was completely out of one drug (not ready), and a pharmacist told me I could not refill another. Luckily, I brought the bottle in and they were able to refill it as it was NOT expired. It became a 30-minute plus wait. On the positive side, the staff here are exceptionally nice people. Janet in particular has patience and knowledge. She works hard to see that people have the best advice and avoid interactions or other problems.

I went today and bought spaghetti that expired October 29, 2018! I'm so glad we noticed before we cooked it for our family. This is not the first time I have had this happen either!! This is why I have been going there less and less.
