I haven’t the slightest clue how you go from bad seafood and meat products to worse than bad. Before they changed the layout for how you buy seafood, I had bought at least 2 different seafood products that were off, I thought since they had changed the way that the package and sell their seafood it might be fine again, but the salmon that I bought was slimy, sour, and disgusting. It looked fine outside the vacuum sealed package and you can’t even smell it, once you open it it becomes obvious, extremely deceptive and shady tactic. The beef products have always been not great or have be flat out bad before sell but date, Id avoid buying meat and produce from this Smith’s.

It's always clean. Even though they advertise that they have the freshest produce, that is not necessarily true. Smith's likes to separate the foods so that most times, I find it necessary to walk the entire store. I'm sure it's a gimmick on their part to make you do just that, so you'll buy more... I resent this tactic! It's easy to get around in.

Understaffed, products are never in stock. The bakery items are the most disappointing out of all the smiths I've tried in Albuquerque. Bakery cookies are always hard and stale, and the bakery items rarely get restocked. The staff seems like they're trying their best but are always stressed out. Kroger needs to step it up!

When shopping, I start at the produce department and let what look best drive the rest of my meal. For the last 4 months, this produce department has been a mess. Photo's are from a Saturday afternoon at 4:10PM. I was told the last produce dept. worker had left at 1:00PM and the next guy didn't start until 4:00. Clearly Kroger has given up.

We once called this "the good Smith's," to differentiate it from the other nearby one on Montgomery. But in 2023, this store is now on track to be the next "ghetto Smith's."-Seafood counter is removed (they retained a refrigerator case with a small selection of pre-packaged seafood)-Understaffing at deli counter and checkouts creates backups and unreliability. Also: ATTITUDE at the deli counter can be an issue--clearly, these employees are not compensated for providing fast and pleasant service.-Stocking reliability is way down and selection is dropping throughout the store.Welcome to the ghetto.

I would have to rate this store as one, if not the worst in Albuquerque as far as making sure products are in stock. This particular location is out of the most basic items on a regular basis. I had been shopping at this location for many years, but all it takes is a change in management, and someone who just does not care, for a store to go downhill. Yes, the store is very clean but if they are always out of everything you need, what is the point in shopping there? I now shop at the Smiths on Paseo which is also quite clean, but also makes sure items are reordered and restocked.

UNAMERICAN !!!! No flag for months this store and many other smiths are not flying the USA flag or New Mexico flag I don’t shop here or any store that has no American flag but they had that POs pride flag by their customer service screw this store and alls smiths

ATTENTION MANAGERS! Actual, I love this place and I like the staff.But this time when I came in to do $250 worth of grocery shopping, I brought my refrigerated bags because I needed to buy a whole bunch of meat.Some of my refrigerated items ended up in the bags but most didn't.I wasn't too upset about that until I got to the bag where the bagger, an older gentleman, stuffed my bread and vegetables in the bag with raw chicken!It was Not even a refrigerated bag.Most of the stuff in my refrigerated bags was off the shelf items. And most of my refrigerator stuff was stuffed in every other bag.Listen man, this is food safety we're talking about here okay?People can get sick or die if they have a long distance to travel and your staff does not put the refrigerator food in the refrigerator bags like they're supposed to.You really need to train your staff on what a cooler bag looks like, and what they're for!I always put all my refrigerated stuff together so it all goes in the bags but this time you guys miss the mark by a hundred miles!I am pissed and I'm hoping none of my food is ruined!I should not have to supervise your staff to make sure they're doing their job correctly!I should be able to trust you guys to know what the hell you're doing!Food safety is one of those items that everybody needs to learn!This is what a refrigerator bag looks like it is lined in silver!They come in many sizes and shapes!

I had such a pleasant experience at this location this morning. All of the employees were very friendly. The lady in floral smiled and said hi. The lady in the deli dept checked to make sure I was finding what I needed. And Thuy at self checkout was chatting all the customers up.

A nice, spacious Smith's. I just wish the entrance didn't smell foul. It makes me grimace every time.

Did my regular shopping, needed to pick up liquor as well. The "boy" appeared and opened up cabinet then told me to finish shopping and pick it up at check out, that I could not take it with me and finish shopping. I was treated like I was going to steal it. Smith's you lost a customer of 10 years today by treating me like a criminal.

“manuel” should not be employed at this location. He was very rude to me and ESPECIALLY to my 7 year old daughter , because she was asking if she could have a candy bar for free (you all know how kids are) when we were shopping the other day. I was very upset and asked to speak to the manager , he very cockily said “well here I am” and crossed his arms and smirked in my face. (Wish I’d see him outside his low paying job) He has to be one of the worst customer service experience in my entire life. I hope someone sees this and does something about that wack a** manager. I will DEFINITELY be reporting this to the better business bureau. Thanks “mansmell” worst management in the city. Hope your team is proud.

Waited 30 minutes for a pickup order. I was the only one out there in the pickup spaces. I went into the store and waited another 15 minutes for the pickup person to help me. When I got home, half of my order was missing! Would not recommend this store for pickup orders. Have been on hold for 25 minutes so far, to make sure I am not charged for the missing items. Bummer.

At the self check out I needed ID verification because I bought beer. The attendant "an Asian woman" asked me if I had been drinking. "They" won't let me buy it because my eyes are red.
