I've been a manager in retail, restaurants, bars, and numerous other businesses, and honestly I'm not sure why/how so many people are giving it 5 stars... Let me start by saying I do not have a vehicle, and walked two miles to this location. Been there twice in the past week, neither time did any employee ask me if I needed any assistance or make any attempt to be positive or helpful. In fact on my second visit, upon entering I was yelled at by an employee to leave my personal bag (backpack) OUTSIDE the store and that they would not be responsible for it. I asked if I could leave it by the counter where I could see it as I went down the aisle to get the one item I was there for, and the employee continued to yell and shout, obviously not hearing me, about leaving my personal belongings outside the store and that they are not responsible. FINALLY the guy heard me, but after I put my bag by the counter and walked away, proceeded to talk trash about me to the cashier, who was the only decent employee on my previous visit. Does the staff also yell/scream at women entering the store to leave their purses (personal bag/belongings) outside as well? The store looks run down, a lot of shelves are empty, and products on the shelves are in damaged boxes. Given how I was treated, its obvious that customer service is not a priority for this location, and that their staff operates on outdated, BIASED, and OFFENSIVE Loss Prevention standards. 95% of the customers I saw there were making copies, not interacting with staff, IF I were to visit again, it would probably be to only make copies, the only clear way to have a good experience at this location, only I wouldn't be allowed to bring in a bag to put my copies away after, so no.

I placed a copy order that was promised ready at 6:30 pm. When I didn’t get a notification that it was ready I called. When there was no answer I drove over. Turns out there’s temporary hours and the store closes at 6pm. I placed the r order at 11:15am, enough time for someone to call me and let me know and maybe idk decided what I wanted to do but that would just make too much sense. I have to travel with these documents at 8am tomorrow and the store doesn’t open until 10am, no idea what I’m supposed to do. I swear the customer service here is non-existent with the copy department. These were also simple copies. Had I known the store couldn’t be bothered to to their job, I could’ve just came and printed them myself in the self-serve copies. All the literally had to do was press print.

I had to send a fax, Wednesday afternoon, I couldn't find the fax machine, ask the person behind the desk where the machine was, she spoke kind of fast I asked her to repeat what she said, I said I didn't hear her, well she proceed to shout at me Very loud! And pointed just at a general direction. Of course I went across the way, the realized it was just across the desk, proceeded to try a send my fax, it's been a while since I have used a fax machine, could not find anyone to help me, I could not find the person that shouted at me, the cashier was busy, so I ended up paying 15.00 for a simple fax that should of only costed me 4.00..very very frustrated when I left..seem to me that the shouting person behind the the desk was not happy working there,? Or maybe she just didn't want to deal with me cuz I couldn't hear her...she needs to have better people skills!!!

The cashiers and actual workers were excellent. I had a smooth Amazon return from the girl in the back, once I found where to go.
The managers or greeters or whomever stands at the front of the store are pretty useless. They won't help you find anything. But they'll stop everything to remind you to buy stuff on your way out.
If you go here for a Return, turn right and go to the back and they can help you there.

Zero communication when there was an "unfortunate" event that happened to their software. I'm 99% sure you're supposed to call TSA and tell them you are down for the day so they can send cancellation notices to the people who have appointments.
Instead I wasted time driving here when I could have gone to another location.
Typical (that is, less than average) Albuquerque customer service can be found at this Staples ✔️

Shalene at the Staples Menaul location is absolutely fantastic. She helped me with a heayvweight poster board for my wedding as well as menu cards. She was kind, professional, and did an excellent job. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfectly aligned and cut nicely. She made my day brighter and wedding prep way easier!! I talked to several other customers who raved about her and said they only come to this Staples location because of her. She basically runs the store in my opinion - answering several questions from different employees and customers without batting an eye.

Morgan in the print department IS SO professional and really mad our day- Juggling other jobs but finding a way to accommodate our (likely unreasonable) request timewise! We were visiting town for a national college gymnastics competition from Boston and realized we should have made posters and are thrilled with the help we got!!!! Again, so professional amd awesome! THANKS MORGAN! I wish every Staples was like this. Other employees were great too! Thumbs up!

Matt ROCKS at the copy & print center! he helped me with my print job and was super efficient and knowledgeable. he also gave some kids in line behind me a great tutorial about using the self-serve station, which I thought was incredibly sweet. It really does seem like he loves his job. Matt, you are a superstar! :) thank you for handling my artwork with care !

It's great when employees are outgoing and helpful . That's what we experienced today. The staff we interacted with were upbeat. I needed printer paper, picked some and as I was heading towards the register, an employee came up to us and asked if we had the staples app. If so there's a coupon to save on our paper. He made sure we got it and found the coupon - worth about 25% off. They can do all the paperwork for TSA pre check, some passport services and a myriad of electronic devices plus the expected office & school supplies. But employee attitude made this stop a good one.
