If you want to go to a place to get authentic varieties of international ethnic food, then go here. This place has a lot of varieties of food, produce, fresh meat, kitchen accessories. Staff is friendly and helpful to find just what you need for making a variety of meals. I was able to find every thing I needed to make homemade sushi rolls. Always clean, organized and well stocked.

Talin is almost magical. I go in for daikon and Kewpie mayo, and I come out with daikon, Kewpie mayo, durian cookies, yuzu ramune, jasmine tea, Hi-Chews, tofu, frozen gyoza, Korean beauty products, etc. I don't know how it happens.I find their produce to be better on average than most mainstream grocery stores--not just in terms of selection (where else are you going to get lychee, rambutans, and shiso leaves?) but in terms of quality.I love this store.

Lots of great cultural foods. It was fairly well stocked with lots of favorites. Items are sorted into cities and countries where you might find those foods so it helps when locating what you want.

I needed to stop and get an item to make breakfast and this was the closest spot. well upon arrival the security stopped me because I had my very well maintained SERVICE ANIMAL with me and I let them know that he's papered and legit. a manager came up and said it was fine. but I guess that's not what the security officer wanted to hear and sent another manager off to find me and walk me out. I asked for the item and where it was located and she very rudely said we don't have that. we aren't a regular store. and walked me out. as I was escorted out of the store, the security had to manually open the door because she had locked the doors behind me for some reason which makes no sense to me. What that was supposed to be about is beyond me I felt like they assumed I might steal something since they were trying to kick me out. I'm not sure, but that was not the case at all I was simply trying to find something to make for breakfast. how rude these people are. I can understand the pet issue but to lock the doors? they seem to be opening and closing on their own now after I left?? and worked just fine when I arrived??

Large selection of imported groceries from all over the world at reasonable prices. I normally shop here for asian sauces, desserts, vegetables, etc as well as gluten free flours from different parts of the world at much better prices than those produced in the US.

I love how they separate aisles by countries, very easy to navigate. Great collection, plenty Taiwanese frozen food and snacks. They have mooncake in stock weeks before mid-autumn festival, and the price of Keewah mooncake is about the same as their official website. Only downside is the fresh vegetables are not always in prefect condition.

I really like this market, but it should be said that it is not a truly "global" market. It definitely is more of an Asian market. I originally visited Talin Market to find the ingredients I needed to make afro Caribbean food. That did not happen. What I did find was a market that had a diverse selection of ingredients (fresh, frozen, and shelf stable) that worked for making traditional Asian and fusion dishes. They also have a section where you can find some Hispanic ingredients, but it's just the single section. My family has lived in four states in the last 10 years, and I make it a mission to find the international market as soon as we get settled in after each move. Talin is pretty good. My holy grail international market is Jungle Jim's in Fairfield, Ohio (IYKYK), but this one is still very good. Honestly, with most international markets, you can either go for diversity or depth. This one hits a pretty good middle note. They carry a lot of treats, candies, and snacks, but also a lot of spices and basic building blocks for various cuisines. They have a section for small home goods, utensils, cookware, and dishware, but I haven't really had a reason to peruse that area. I how this review helps any curious cooks out there. Happy shopping.

This is my favorite "go to" shop in ABQ. So many good smells, amazing food and the ambiance is more like a market than a grocery store. I love the different sections like the bakery and drink stop, my whole family goes and we each get an unfamiliar snack and a drink - it's a great place to spend a day.

A delight to browse with imported foods from around the world! If you want to try an unfamiliar snack or pick up ingredients for an old family recipe, this is a great choice.

I was exited at the prospect of trying a "world market" for the first time; the idea seemed so intriguing. My first Impression was that the store had a huge parking lot with plenty of space to park without circling around; which is a major perk. The market itself looked pretty big, it was about the size of a Whole Foods i would say. There were a sufficient amount of employees there, so even though they had plenty of customers, the lines weren't long. It really started to give off an international ambiance when you first walk in, but as you keep going you realize it's not really, truly International. They focus mainly on the Asian culture mostly. 90% of the market is from some part of Asia, such as China, Philippines, Korea, and India (southeast Asia is Indian). I would say that they should re-brand it as an Asian supermarket, because it is a little misleading but still very cool. I've never seen a supermarket with every variety of Asian food.

Bullied and harassed by the general manger Carly (white female). She used security to intimidate me over an attempted return. I love this store and never been treated like this here or at any place of business. It felt like third world treatment. What the heck is going on at Talin?!? I usually buy the sesame balls which are usually pretty decent but today they were very thick and super hard to chew. I figured it's not a big deal to want to return the item but that was not the case. Carly didn't care for my opinion of the item and was extraordinarily rude and confrontational. I asked for her name and she said she didn't have to provide it. I asked how can i address this issue if you don't provide me your name. I asked for the other manger whom I'm familiar with and at times have friendly little chats with. She told me he wouldn't come to the front and that her word is the final word. It's kinda crazy bc it's just a small item at a cost of nearly $4 dollars but yet if the items are poorly made customers should have a right to a return the item. After I asked for the other manager she signaled to security to get ride of me. Crazy!!! Carly is certainly abusing her power and I feel she is purposely sabotaging this chain as she seems to not like the place she works. Maybe she doesn't like Asians? Talin really messed up allowing a person like this in a position that can really tarnish what i believe is a good market.

I usually don’t post something like this but definitely train your employees! There was a Hispanic cashier who was very RUDE. I ended up not wanting one item and asked if she could take it off. Instead of just saying okay no problem… She gave me an attitude and then proceeded to point out and tell me that the price is on the sticker. She got upset because she had to wait for someone to take it off the system? I never asked what the price was nor did I ever wanted to be embarrassed to think that I couldn’t afford it. People change there minds, it’s normal. Who hasn’t changed their minds about an item they didn’t want.
