We really enjoy our stays at Tru and try to make sure there’s one everywhere we travel, but this particular one didn’t seem to follow the same standard the other ones do. We opened our hotel door to a cockroach. It was clear that the showers weren’t clean and the shower head was mostly a sprinkle at best. Our curtains in the room didn’t shut all the way so it was hard to sleep as the parking light was right outside our window. Somehow, there was an alarm set for 5am that went off on the bedside clock and I thought I had turned it off the first, second, and third times, but finally had to unplug the clock. The bagels were stale and the breakfast wasn’t much better than any other hotel. For the extra money we paid, it didn’t feel worth it. Hoping to have a better experience at the next Tru.

Summary: There are better places to stay and at better values. Overall, better for singles and couples. Was not a favorite of our family of 5.Pros:-Room had a great view of the hot air balloons that fly in the morning and evening in Albuquerque.-Front desk staff were friendly and helpful.-Soap dispensers in the bathrooms are great for families who need LOTS of product (more than a tiny travel size).-We stayed for free through Hilton points rewards, and I recommend others to use hotel rewards programs.Cons:-Blankets on beds are thin, and the duvet cover does NOT stay on the insert at all. Mattresses were quite firm (not the best, but the worst I suppose).-Breakfast was standard hotel fare and had potential, but staff did not keep up with the high demand on products, so stuff was picked over and gone.-No microwave in our room (couldn't warm up our own breakfast).-Ice maker and water dispenser broke, which is not necessarily their fault, but for a hotel of this size (4 floors), they should have ice makers on EVERY floor (if they did, we couldn't find them). When they worked, they were great.-No suites and no roll aways. They do have adjoining rooms, but that of course costs twice as much, and a roll away bed could solve the problem for a small child in a more cost-effective way.

First time at a Tru by Hilton. Very minimalist but very comfortable beds, quiet and great price for breakfast, gym and pool included. Staff was incredible and offered us a coupon for the adjacent Outback which we used. Loved how quiet considering the hotel is right next to I25.

Staff were awesome. Food was great. It has a POOL TABLE! only issue... the room was VERY SMALL and NO MICROWAVE! What?!?!? I know right. Other than that. Good experience.

For $129/night. We got…Dirty rooms, nosoap, shampoo and no towels. Sheets smelled burnt and gross. Cantina food was DISGUSTING! Street tacos were not even tacos. It was 3 hard stale crunchy flour tortillas whole chunks of cold chicken thrown on a plate. My mother spit out the enchiladas the second she tasted them. My wife smelled her dinner and tossed it. We will NEVER stay at a Hilton again. The quality I’ve come to expect from Hilton hotels is in the toilet. I regret posting such a negative review but Albuquerque or the Hilton or someone needs to step it up. For the same price we paid, we got a different hotel in Denver and it was plush Sorry Mr. Hilton, this was no Hilton. Three customers…lost

Stayed at TRU by Hilton last night. The front desk was very nice when we were able to finally able to get our room. The lady in front was VERY nice and we had no problems and they even fixed our broken tv so we could see the game. BUT, after we played at our venue REVEL tonight the front desk person JUAN decided we were too loud when we returned at 12am and instructed security that we could be kicked out. We were not but it was not a good experience and we were.not loud as I am 54 years old and just wanted a good night's sleep. Please give Juan some extra training to deal with people who come.in in the later hours as he needs it.

Room was clean and comfortable. Everything in room worked great. Breakfast was wonderful, especially the pancakes made fresh! Used my app to check in, room key and check out. Much easier as I saw people waiting at desk for someone. Guy was gone at least 10 min which means they are short staffed. Being right by the gas station was a little worrysome, but we parked strategically and all was well.

Cons: I like a heavy blanket. These cheap duvets are thin as sheet. The AC thermostat and shower pressure sucks! If I’m paying please allow me to decrease the thermostat below 68 degrees please!Let me set it according to my comfort. They don’t serve breakfast until 6:00am M-F and 7:00am on the weekends. There were 2 young men that work here and they are so stoic. They have no customer service skills whatsoever. They don’t acknowledge you when you walk through the doors. I would prefer you pay attention to your customers you never know if somebody is being abducted.Pros: The location is central to everything. It’s not the best surroundings.

No phone in the room. Roaches. No maid service. Guest services cussing one another out. Horrible attitudes. No staff.

My usual spot to spend nights while visiting Albuquerque. Modern design for a younger generation, located centrally in the city so access to most of the city. Clean rooms and nice beds. ??

Upon check in, front desk lady was very upbeat, polite, good customer service. Helped us with our luggage since room wasn’t ready.Wasn’t until bed time that we realized our room had no night shade and air conditioning didn’t work properly. Told the front desk about it in the morning and he said that he would move our room. Inconvenient but fine. Packed all our things and then we were told hours later that they were working on getting a nightshade to keep us in the same room. There was no acknowledgment of the inconvenience. Also important to note that there isn’t traditional housekeeping to refill your towels. You have to go down to front desk. The front desk lady who was on duty Saturday, October 7th at 3pm wasn’t helpful. For the cost, it’s not worth it. Next time will pay a little more to stay somewhere better prepared to receive guests. Customer service is a miss in many regards.

We stayed for a last-minute weekend trip. I must say this hotel was exactly what we were looking for in Albuquerque. From the greeting when we arrived, to the yummy breakfast, to the beautiful view of the Sandia mountains. We will definitely be back and this will be our go to hotel. Thanks to all the staff for welcoming us ? Hotel was clean, room was clean & quiet, location was great!

We arrived in the evening for the balloon festival and had booked "The Tru Hilton Hotel." I'm a Hilton member, so checked out Yelp and the reviews looked nice, a bit pricy-er than others around, But like I said, a HILTON!! Arrived and the hotel looked clean, we were staying 2 days. Slept well the 1st night. Woke up early the next morning (4 am) headed out to the festival. Came back late (11 pm), exhausted after being out all day. Started to relax and decided to take a shower. To my surprise, there were 4 cockroaches in the bathroom! Eek and yuck! Called my boyfriend right away! He scooped them up and tossed them in the toilet. He immediately tried calling the front desk but no answer, 11:00 pm really? He went downstairs, told the man at the counter, "Jason." " Sorry you had to go thru it" he said, "can't give you another room, we're all booked up." GREAT!! Had no choice but to stay!"Jason", nice guy apologized because obviously he knew they were infested with roaches, said he would comp the stay. I wasn't looking for free stay on the whole 2 days, perhaps the 2nd night only due to me finding the roaches. My man asked for it in writing but Jason said he couldn't do it, just to check out in the morning and it will be on the invoice, RIGHT!!Went to check out early morning, now another gal there checked us out, she said no comp, he only gave us a discount. I didn't see any discount and of course Jason had left already! Hiltons campaign is "Uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct in every action you take on Hilton's behalf," and "Clean stay and ready." Not even a maintenance person came to our room, Jason only gave my man a can of Lysol. Wow! So if you're ok with staying in a roach infested hotel, this is the one for you, just heed my warning!!Oh, the shower doors didn't close right and water all over the floor, the sink was sloooow to drain as well. Thanks Tru by Hilton for a gross stay! Never again there!! Will checkout a Marriott next time in ABQ.UPDATE: Spoke to Randy the day manager, very rude person. When I tried to tell her my issue, apparently she knows how dirty this new hotel is, she didn't want to hear it, cut me off and refused to settle any matter. So, roach infested and rude manager is what you get at TRU Hilton N. Mexico. Hopefully Hilton looks into this dirty place.. What a shame.

New. Clean. No in room microwave. Traffic noise all night. AC thermostat was finicky, manager stated mnfctr defect. 4th floor bathroom vent made a clinking noises all night. Zero in room carpet/rubberized vinyl floor. Room on the small side. Nice, but needs some finesse.
