I wasn't going to rent a van, but the transmission on my daughter's car failed as soon as I pulled into ABQ from SF. I needed to get her moved into a new house and we were stuck with all of her things. The gentleman at U-Haul was so kind, personable, and professional that he immediately put me at ease. I was a bit skeptical about driving such a large vehicle, but it drove easily, was clean, and felt safe. We also were able to get a bed for her and transport it in the van, something that we wouldn't have been able to do with her car. Not many people would say that renting a van was the luckiest, most pleasurable part of their day, but it definitely was for me. I will remember this day forever, with my daughter chattering beside me, cruising the streets of ABQ behind the wheel of my HERO VEHICLE!

I reserved a truck and appliance dolly. When I arrived, the U Haul rep stated that they did not have an appliance dolly. He didn't offer to find one at another location, he just removed it from my contract. If a customer rents a piece of equipment, it is because they need it. A little effort by a customer service person goes a long way. There were two other employees at the counter doing nothing. They could have located another dolly while the first filled out my contract. Better yet, someone could have insured that the reserved equipment was available.

Customer service is 100%. The storage units can use some spraying and maybe better moving carts. Other than that I have no complaints. The staff is very courteous and helpful. I will definitely continue doing business @ this location.

Truck received from this location in central Ave in Albuquerque, NM was completely out of oil and coolant. When I picked up trailer from another location I asked them about the warning signs that were displayed which indicated that the truck was low on oil and coolant and the employee told me “I wouldn’t worry about the signs” and let me go on with my trip. I ended up having to contact roadside assistance and they told me the engine would have blown with how it was running and low oil and coolant. Worst experience ever with U-Haul
