Our experiences at VCA Wyoming have been consistently incredible. The staff are always helpful and welcoming and the skillful and compassionate care our dog has received from Dr. Martin and all the veterinary assistants has been, bar none, the best I have ever encountered over 30+ years of dog ownership and veterinary experiences in New Mexico and Colorado. These people have heart, professionalism, and skill. I wholeheartedly recommend VCA Wyoming. Also, in reading some reviews that were critical of pricing and payments, I really have to disagree. I have found this clinic to be significantly more affordable than any of the vets we went to in Colorado.

Can't say enough good about this place! Brought my two dogs in for their first visit today, and they can be quite leash reactive when they're together. The staff was so accommodating and moved dogs around the lobby while we waited in the car so that we could walk straight to our exam room. They took my dogs back one at a time, and took my payment while my dogs and I waited in the exam room afterwards. They never made me feel bad or like an inconvenience, and really went above and beyond to make our experience a good one. Dr. Martin is a great veterinarian, and was so helpful in her recommendations for my dog's car anxiety. I never felt talked down to by her or any of the other staff. Looks like my pets will be coming here from now on!

VCA came highly recommended to me and now I can’t recommend them enough! The staff is kind, caring, and patient. I am so happy I made the switch to VCA.

Experience was frustrating—We were told could do a walk in vaccine after our annual appointment in September. Instead, we were charged for a vet consultation. Each vaccine was between $65-$75, far exceeding industry rate. Unless you need a specialized service, go somewhere else that isn’t price gouging. VCA in general overcharges compared to a local or smaller vet. Please spread the word. Thanks.

“I recently accompanied my elderly neighbor to the veterinarian to put her cat down, and I have some concerns about the experience. It seemed like the veterinarian might not have used their best judgment when they sent the cat home with a feeding tube instead of opting for euthanasia, especially given the cat’s condition. This decision placed a considerable burden on both the cat and its owner, who was unable to make the choice herself due to attachment issues. As time went on, it became evident that the vet’s actions might not have been in the best interest of the cat or its owner. It felt like they were taking advantage of her credit card and situation by charging exorbitant amounts, for euthanasia a few days later and a jaw dropping amount for the feeding tube procedure. I don’t even have a credit card so right when they swipe me it comes straight out of my bank account and this is why I have to question their motivation . This experience left me questioning the ethics of this veterinary practice, and I believe there may be better options available. Proceed with caution if you choose to visit this veterinarian.”

Zero stars! Your service was unacceptable and will be reported to your district managers. I called this place at 2:00pm and told them my cats symptoms. They told me to bring him in immediately. So I rushed over there and they took him back right away. Then he got sent back to the waiting area and told me it would be awhile until they could see my feline. After two hours I go up to the front desk because we are the only ones in the waiting area. I asked them if we were going to get seen. The girls look at one another and say the vet is done for the day but I can take the feline to another hospital. So basically they forget about us and no apology's what so ever. This should be unacceptable! So inconsiderate for a sick animal!

Used to come here because they were timely, caring, and compassionate. When I took my now very old cat to be seen because she couldn't breathe, they took blood, five hundred dollars, and said they'd call me. I've had to call them to find out, but get hit with the vet being out until the middle of next week? What's wrong with my cat, a-holes?

I’m considering going to another vet. This vet is great with care for your animal, but I guess I’m a little ticked off about their discount policy. I’ve been buying prescription cat food from them for a while now, and have never had any trouble with getting a veteran’s discount. Last time I went in, I was told that they don’t offer a veteran’s discount for food purchases. As if the food isn’t expensive enough when buying from a vet clinic, I now have to shell out more money. I remember saying “bummer” when I was told I couldn’t get a discount, and the lady said “yes, it is a bummer.” So, I don’t think I would even trust their word if I were to get medical care for one of my cats that they would give me a discount. Which is it? Do you offer a military discount or not? Or are you just discriminating against me because I don’t look like your typical disabled veteran?

VCA has been our primary vet for many years now. Their staff is pleasant, the facility is clean, and we always get the care that our pets need when we go there. Recently, I’ve noticed that they seemed over-booked and it’s essentially impossible to get an appointment unless you book a few weeks to a few months in advance. We’ve had this happen many times - one of our pups was vomiting regularly (to the point of bloody vomit) and couldn’t get an appointment, one of our pups ate something he shouldn’t and we couldn’t get an appointment, etc etc. Even when one of my dogs started being lethargic with heavy breathing (very clear signs that something is wrong), the tech was hesitant to give me an appointment when I called first thing in the morning (actually was able to squeeze him in after talking to the vet). It is pretty consistent now that we get something like “sorry, we don’t have any available appointments, we can see him in 3 weeks”. But for some issues, waiting weeks is going to exacerbate the problem and sometime cause irreparable harm. We’ve had to resort to driving out of town to another vet for most appointments. It’s inconvenient and they don’t know our pet’s history as well. That vet doesn’t do primary care, but I think we’re going to switch to another provider soon.

Dr. Martin spent a long time with us on our first visit to this practice to see what could be done with our dog who developed separation anxiety after we moved. Highly recommend this practice and Dr. Martin!

We have been using VCA for over a decade. We brought at least 8 animals here. We have always been treated wonderfully. They are always honest. They will offer you many tests for your animal. Those can be expensive, and you can say no to without judgment from the staff. They truly care about the animals and the people.

I’ve made the unfortunate choice to have this location euthanize my cat. It’s now been nearly a month since his appointment and I still have not had his ashes returned. I was told it took one to two weeks. When I spoke with them last week, they were insistent it took two weeks (which had already passed), and upon digging further, relayed to me that the special urn was delayed on arriving and that they should have the ashes back that Friday. They have not reached out since and it’s been 3 1/2 weeks and the only communication along the way has been when I reach out. I will continue to follow up until my little buddy is back home or this situation is resolved because I am extremely frustrated at the lack of empathy overall. Please find a better, caring vet practice to take your loved ones to if you’re having to make that incredibly difficult choice. It’s already hard enough to make, much less feel as if your pet’s remains are now lost.
