About Percha Dam State Park
Percha Dam State Park is a serene and peaceful destination located in New Mexico. The park offers easy access for large RVs, with visitors able to boondock and access water and trash facilities. While there is not much to do besides walking, hiking, and birdwatching, the tranquil atmosphere and clear night skies make it a great place to relax. The river, though low, provides a scenic backdrop. Visitors should be aware of some drawbacks, such as the presence of goat head stickers and challenges finding suitable areas for dogs. The park's amenities, including the warm showers and ADA-friendly facilities, receive mixed reviews, with some visitors noting the need for better maintenance and upkeep. Overall, Percha Dam State Park offers a peaceful and serene camping experience, particularly for those seeking a quiet retreat.
Seldom used. Quiet. Hook ups. Showers. Bathrooms. Very quiet. I would stay here again.

Great place, easy in and out except for that wooden bridge you must go over to enter park! Said it was good for 15 tons....our rig dry is 27,400 lbs. This is before anything goes in it like 90 gallons of diesel, etc...... Makes my wife nervous!

The river is nothing, so the dead fish stench is horrible. Stuck in my nose for hours. Hung out in the trees birding, which was blissful.
