We have been staying at the Snow Mansion for a few years now and many stays in Arroyo Seco while skiing, and we absolutely love it. It is our favorite ski lodge and has begun to feel like a home away from home, helped greatly by the beautiful and homey cabin furnishing, art and historic rooms, and the extremely kind and helpful owners of the property. From getting to see the chickens foraging right outside, to the very dog and pet friendly accommodations, this is our go to lodge/hotel for the mountain and where we bring friends. Many of the rooms are very large and made to accommodate entire families or large groups of friends comfortably for a great price. Rooms are always clean and well furnished, and the kitchens and facilities are exceptional. We love it here and we will continue to stay year after year! Thank you for having us.Noteworthy details: There is excellent food right across the street, as well as beautiful locally run gift shops and artist shops. I recommend visiting each at least once if you can! There is not a single shop that isn’t worth your time and that doesn’t have really cool gifts, items, or incredible food. Tbe grocery store and cafe across the street is likewise excellent.

Cool little place next to the heart of Royal Seco, which means a handful of cool little shops. Was hoping for a hot tub, but they do have a big tub in the room, but I would suggest that a hot tub for the yes would be great addition in the future.Nearby activities: Short 10 minute drive to Taos and also a short 10 minute drive to Toski Valley so location is amazing and Arroyo Seco a very cool little town

Once a great budget accommodation for backpackers, this is no longer a hostel but a hotel.

This is a wonderful, eclectic hotel real close to Taos ski valley, with a great vibe and a real cozy common area for both relaxing in and a kitchen for cooking in! And your also in walking distance to a few great food places too!Rooms: The rooms were cozy and had plenty of space for a family of 5 or more to stay in.Nearby activities: Walking to some great food options and less than a 10 minute drive to Taos Ski Valley.Safety: We felt totally safe there!Walkability: Very close walkable eateries.Food & drinks: Plenty of food choices to walk to between restaurants and a small grocery storeNoteworthy details: The common area, both the living room area and the kitchen, dining area were great to meet other guests and chat!

Giving European hostel vibes, this place had a lot of personality! Laid back, great communication and signage. We felt very at home here. Overall, cleanliness was great, as were the private bathrooms.Rooms: Comfy beds, spacious large room to accommodate up to 9 people, including bunk beds, wood & tile flooring (no gross carpet), and small kitchen area.Noteworthy details: We absolutely loved the communal kitchen and the common spaces that had a pool table, indoor gas fire pit, full bookcases, and a kids play corner with wooden dollhouse.

Stayed 8 days. Set aside time each day to just BE in my room. Great sized charming room with more seating , more space, more natural light, more charm than I ever could have expected. Just a nice place to beNoteworthy details: An older building but beautifully maintained with charm you can’t find in new cookie cutter hotels

My family landed here after a long 4 week road trip. This was our last stop before heading home to Texas. Booking the hotel online was simple. The owner called me to welcome me and expressed his gratefulness for me booking with them. I received complete instructions for check in and was easily able to access my room. The interior of the lobby is awesome and authentic. Rooms are unique and overall the place feels like nothing else I’ve seen or stayed in.

SnowMansion was a great place to stay and we would definitely go back if/when in the area. We would like to plan a winter trip sometime since we were there in the summer. The rooms were comfortable for our group. I like how the toilet & sink are separate from the shower. The shower head sprayed everywhere and wasn’t able to be adjusted but that is an easy fix. The shower is nice & the water was hot & the pressure was good. The doors have keypad locks but it would be nice if they had deadbolts or latches to lock from the inside. There is a pool table and a lot of seating in the commons area. This is a cool spot, felt authentic, & is located within walking distance to shops, a market, ice cream, and restaurants. It is also conveniently located between the town of Taos & the ski village. The hosts are great & communicate well & in a very timely manner.Walkability: Park at SnowMansion and walk to the shops and restaurants, cool village, neat vibe.
