“The staff is friendly enough but I was just trying to find my credit card at checkout because I thought I had more cash on me and was $16 short. All of the sudden the register opens and the cashier is making change for a 20. I said, "wait, what are you doing?" The cashier pointed to the lady behind me and said, "she wanted to pay for you.." I looked at this amazing lady and said "no no, you don't have to do that, please give her money back to her." The lady smiled at me and said "nope, I insist."I'm a proud veteran of the US Coast Guard, and one of the things I became good at immediately was maintaining my composure, keeping my emotions in check and above all - remain at all times professional no matter what traumatic events were being played out. However, just when I needed my faith in the knowledge that most people are good, that most people are kind and don't hesitate to help a perfect stranger. I just couldn't hold back a couple of brief tears when I gave her a hug and said thank you so very much.Heck, I'll be wearing this smile for days... ஓ”
