This review is for the Artesia, New Mexico store. Great convenience store. Nice employees. The only reason for not giving a 5 is an hour ago, i walked into the store and both registers were closed. No one manning them. I then turned around and walked out. It seems like there should be at least one employee even in the slow times at the cash registers not only to check people out but to watch the doors as people come in and out. Not everyone uses debit/credit cards but prefer to pay by cash so the self-check doesn't work for them.

If your going to eat gas station food, Maverick is the only way to go. They have good food, usually the best gas prices, clean restrooms and friendly staff. I'll usually drive a little out of my way to go to Maverick over other places .

I'd consider this a Premium gas station, the store is maintained well, with clean floors and fully stocked shelves most of the time. The staff has always treated me politely and pleasantly.

Convenient stop on the west side of Artesia. Lots of pumps, and reasonable gas prices.
