Unusual location with a port-a-potty on site...thank God! It was clean and Much needed. We are only reviewing the fuel pump and potty. No problems with fueling which was 2.699 during our Dec 2023 trip. Many blessings for the New Year!

I love this store, the only Allsups I stop in when I’m in Carsbad. I notice several reviews about the guy with tats and piercings they obviously judge a book by its cover. He is the sweetest guy. I make a point to let him check me out. He always has a smile on his face and very polite. Thank you for the great service. Also the restrooms are clean. If they aren’t there is someone in there cleaning them.

They had numerous people working the register only one guy waspaying attention. The guy with all the big nasty gross piercings turned his back to me so he could get on his cell phone. Everyone else just wasn't paying attention. No greeting. No, hello, no, is this all for you? very poor service.

Allsups has completely lost my business. Tonight, for the second time, I had issues with the Assistant Store Manager, Beth Smiley. She is unbelievably rude and does not know her job. After waiting 15 minutes for them to reset the card reader (due to being stuck) she refused to check me out because she did not know how to deduct the $1.50 coupon that had already been redeemed on the transaction which had froze. I use a mobile scan coupon every time I go in there (4 to 5 times a week) and she is the only person who tries to argue and say they are not accepted....AFTER it had already been scanned and accepted. It is not my fault or problem that the credit card machine got stuck and needed to be reset, causing the transaction to have to be rang up again. The coupon has a 5 minute time limit on it. Being it was already scanned and accepted, the store will be paid for it. She did not care to listen as I was explaining it to her. Due to the last time I was in there and her telling me they do not accept mobile coupons, because she didn't know how to properly work the register, she got mad when the cashier ringing me up figured it out, since she couldn't. So tonight, she refused service AFTER I waited over 15 minutes to complete my purchase. She told me to go down the road to make my purchase and very rudly told me to contact the manager the next morning and there was no one available to speak with tonight, as I did ask to speak with a manager. The level of rudness she had showed she has no fear of being reprimanded by her boss whatsoever. I can only assume "Ray" allows her to act as unprofessionally as she does, knowing she'll get away with it.Additionally, the rewards program is a total joke as the system is often down, and they do not award points if it doesn't work at the register. I firmly believe it's due to the lack of training, as some employees never have a problem getting it to work. Because of the obviously incompetent Assistant Manager Beth, not only did Allsups lose my personal business, but also approximately $5000 a week in fuel sales as well. Pilot Truck Stop just gained a loyal customer.

New batch of cashiers seem to be skimming money from the tills. Multiple times now I’ve had my total much higher than what was supposed to be charged, other random $1 items added onto my total, and items being charged $1-$2 more than the advertised price. My coworkers have noticed this as well and it only seems to be at this store in the area, despite being the newest one. They get very defensive when you call out the incorrect charges and visually agitated. Some employees will fix it and act like a mistake, others get very mad that they were caught. These employees need to be terminated, who knows how much they’ve stolen from customers. As stated it seems like it’s just started happening over the last couple months, never had any issues with the previous afternoon crew.
