My only suggestion- It would be awesome if you all could add some lights in the parking lot, and maybe get the city to install street lights on Canal.

Daughter had the Blue Burger which she really enjoyed. Wife had sides including the grits which she loved. Service was good, refills were timely. Looks also had the churros and ice cream for dessert which they enjoyed.

201 N Canal St, CarlsbadCame in on a super busy day without a reservation, we were seated in about 30 minutes. The waitress was very nice and super attentive and came to our table within 10 minutes after being seated even though it was packed. I got the fettuccini with steak tips and it was so delicious and the garlic bread was great. We also got the cheese board as an app and enjoyed it. Felt it was reasonably priced for what we ordered. Compliments to the chef and the waiststaff for treating us well even though it was absolutely packed.

Carlsbad Dog Park, 122 E Lea St, CarlsbadReally nice and clean, no grass thorns (puncturevine (goatheads), sandspurs, or burweed), plenty of benches for parents to rest with views of the Pecos River, some shade from trees around the park, a water hose station for the water bowl, and toy structures with extra balls and toys. While we there on a Tuesday morning, there was a crew there cleaning in the park. Very nice park, better than many we've been to around the US.
