My only suggestion- It would be awesome if you all could add some lights in the parking lot, and maybe get the city to install street lights on Canal.

201 N Canal St, CarlsbadI love this restaurant — it’s one of my favorites. The staff is always fantastic, especially the bar team who consistently make the experience feel welcoming and enjoyable. The atmosphere is warm and intimate, which I appreciate, but it can get a bit too dark at times, making the menu a little hard to read. If it fits the vibe, adding slightly brighter candles or a bit more table lighting would make a great experience even better. Overall, still a wonderful place I always look forward to visiting.

Carlsbad Dog Park, 122 E Lea St, CarlsbadReally nice and clean, no grass thorns (puncturevine (goatheads), sandspurs, or burweed), plenty of benches for parents to rest with views of the Pecos River, some shade from trees around the park, a water hose station for the water bowl, and toy structures with extra balls and toys. While we there on a Tuesday morning, there was a crew there cleaning in the park. Very nice park, better than many we've been to around the US.
