Hours: Whites City Fuel is a good option for visitors to Carlsbad Caverns National Park or Guadalupe Mountains National Park who missed gassing up in the city of Carlsbad. It is located at the entrance to Carlsbad Caverns, a good 30 minute drive from the city, and is a quick fuel stop before heading into the National Park. While the fuel price is pretty much average, the place might be in-the-middle-of-nowhere but they literally have everything. It is a large shop with multiple buildings and one checkout counter. There are gas pumps, an RV propane fill up, a small grocery, a laundry, and a well-stocked convenient store. It also has a touristy taxidermy and photo area, a T-shirt store, and a general gift shop. The souvenir shop has literally everything at a much cheaper price than the shops in the park, including a whole wall of t-shirts for just $5. It is a wonderful place to stop for ice cold drinks and to buy souvenir gifts. The customer service is helpful, fast, and attentive, though the station is only manned until 3 PM. They also have a motel and an RV park across the street.
