We had to make a quick trip up to Oregon when our starter went out one night. By quick, I mean get some business in in-between losing my mother and her memorial. Not a lot of time to spare. Sensing my despair; George's worked on it right away and although we still rented a uhaul to help us get our job done, the truck was ready the next day! We were able to get it before they closed on Saturday and our trip was saved and there is enough time to get back to Carson City, Nevada. The cost was fair, work was quick and they were kind and understanding. I would use George's again if ever the need arose. They saved our trip, made our week and proved there are wonderful people in the world.

Excellent, honest and super friendly service. I was on a cross country trip and had an emergency repair that was needed after hours. He stayed and worked on it until it was completed. I cannot say enough how satisfied I was with this business. Would not hesitate to use this business again.-Rory.Service: Steering & suspension repair

George's Auto employees/owner are AWESOME!!! They fixed my 2019 Ford F150 truck headlights on the spot right now as they sensed my desperation to get it done ASAP--one headlight was out and they replaced both with better bulbs! So grateful!!! Thank you, immensely!!!

Thank you for the great service and running diagnostics on our Ford F-350. We were out of town over an hour away from George’s shop and in a city without diesel mechanics. George readily came to our aid and traveled to our location to ensure our truck was safe to drive. Thank you again!Services: General repairs & maintenance

Our daughter from MO was working in New Mexico for the summer. She had smoke coming from her right front wheel . George’s was just across the street so she took it to his shop. After speaking with her we could easily determine it was a brake issue. George looked at it and said she needed a new brake caliper and wheel bearing. My husband spoke with him as he looked at it and he tried to convince my husband (who does all of our mechanic work) that it needed both. My husband had recently checked the wheel bearings and they were solid as they could be. My husband requested that George leave the wheel bearing and just change the caliper. That’s what he did. Our daughter couldn’t pick the car up on a weekday due to work schedule but George locked her spare key in the car and she picked it up on Saturday while they were closed. On her way home back to MO she thought she smelled burning from the wheel again and pulled off the road. When she examined the wheel she noticed that a lugnut and the stud were missing from the wheel. George did not say anything to us or her about something happening to the stud. He delivered the car in that state. When she got the car home, our son inspected the stud and found that it was cut off behind the wheel. Someone had clearly cut the stud off while the wheel was not on the car. It had bluing on it from being ground through. To replace the stud, the hub now has to be pressed out of the wheel bearing and often means you have to replace the wheel bearing as well as the hub. You can draw your own conclusions as to the intent behind cutting off the stud. If George wants to pay for replacing the hub and the bearing, I’ll remove this review. He has my husband’s number.Service: Brakes

I want to give a shout out to these guys. I’m from Michigan and my mom is also and is on vacation and she hit a deer/elk on Friday late afternoon not to far from this shop. The owner of this place looked at her car for her on Saturday when they aren’t open and determined that she needs a body shop/bigger place and towed her to Albuquerque where she was staying next, a 4 hour drive one way, again on a day they aren’t normally open. My mom had no reception with her phone and they let her use their phone to make the calls to me and to the insurance company to get everything figured out. Thank you guys for helping take care of my mom.Services: Vehicle Inspection

Recently had an alternator go out on my Ford Expedition while heading north on vacation. We had the vehicle towed to George's on Saturday late afternoon and dropped the keys and a note in the key drop. We were making plans to continue our vacation in another vehicle but we received a call and diagnosis before the shop was officially open on Monday morning. The alternator was shot, they had it in stock, estimated the cost and had it repaired and ready an hour later. We were able to use it for our trip and it ran great. Great service, the cost was reasonable and the diagnosis was right on. I'm impressed. Can't recommend them enough.

Our family was traveling and had a problem with our diesel truck batteries (truck not starting!) and we stopped by George's in the late afternoon with the hope of the shop being able to diagnose the issue and help. They immediately looked at the truck, figured out the battery issue and had us in and out with new batteries in 30 mins. Highly recommend! They were so helpful when we were in a pinch. They also came in under the estimate for the repair back home.

What a great place, really a Gem to find on a road trip. We started to smell something off with our F250 and hear a weird sound on our way from Portland to Klamath . Gauges all seemed fine so we cautiously pressed forward. Once at the campsite we knew something was definitely wrong. First thing Monday morning we called and they told us to bring it down. We had it towed and within a few hours they diagnosed and ordered the parts and the truck was ready the next afternoon. The service was awesome, very friendly, knowledgeable and felt very honest. Just seemed like your friendly neighborhood repair shop and the price seemed more than fair. Apparently Diesel trucks are a specialty of there's and it def showed. So lucky to find this place so our trip was not put on hold to long due to the breakdown. Thanks George's for the great service and repair!

If you want terrible customer service and maximum unprofessionalness, this is the place for you! Not only was I hung up on when calling about my inquiry, but when I went down in person I had five men standing around, not giving two bits that I was there to drop off hundreds of dollars to their business for tons of easy work to be done.
