Simple campground. Interesting history. Pull through hookups are on the passenger side. You may need extensions. The restrooms, showers, and dump station are all closed long-term because of a septic failure. If you need these, check.

The museum is small but I liked it. It closes at 3pm which isn't listed on the Google search. The outside doesn't have too much so make sure you get there on time to see inside.Restrooms: Portable potties from what I saw. I didn't use them.Picnic area: It have a covered area to relax and cook. No playgrounds.

Spent the day in Deming shopping. Then decide to drive to Columbus to check out Pancho Villa State Park. Nice little town with a lot of history. Mexico border in eyesight and of course you run into check points with border patrol.

From Pancho Villa State Park
The 60-acre park was established in 1959 in
commemoration of Villa’s raid and as a gesture of
goodwill between the United States and Mexico.
"In the early morning hours of March 9, 1916,
Pancho Villa’s troops raided the Village of
Columbus, New Mexico and the Army’s “Camp at
Columbus.” Some say Pancho Villa desperately
needed supplies, others say he wanted revenge
for a “business deal gone bad” in Columbus!
In response to the raid, General John “Black Jack”
Pershing and his force of 10,000 men soon arrived
in Columbus with orders from President Woodrow
Wilson to pursue and capture Pancho Villa. Called
the Punitive Expedition, Pershing’s men searched
for Villa deep into Mexico from March 1916 to
February 1917."
