We opted to eat inside and due to covid not many people were visiting the town. We were the only ones inside and there were 2 families eating outside. Food was really good. Beer was good. Everyone friendly

Nice, small town feel and good food. Pretty sure they stayed open late for us and even offered to let us sit inside with our dogs when it was chilly out and we were on their patio. We had a nice time and food hit the spot!

Good little bar and bbq joint in Eagle Nest New Mexico. Open during the summer months. The food was really good. Really fast service. Don't expect a lot of frills. Just some good BBQ.

Excellent Service and the food was delicious. Brisket, Sausage, Ribs were had by all at our table. We were a party of 4. The portions were good size and reasonable priced. They had a couple choices for BBQ sauce on the table for your liking they both were good. Potato salad and baked beans were also good we did not get to try the cole slaw. When your in Eagle's Nest I would definitely give this place a go.

This place has GREAT BBQ and homemade cobbler as well as a great atmosphere. Feels like going to grandma's, but also has a nicely separated bar area with sports on the TV. We got fast service.

You won't find any Kansas City barbecue here just honest smoke meat the way barbecue is meant to be. We both had brisket sandwiches for lunch and the brisket was lean and plenty of it. When in Eagle Nest forego the two other places to eat and have some great 'cue!

My family and I were staying in the area and came here twice it was so good! We had the brisket, sausage, brisket sandwiches, coleslaw, and potato salad. We even saved room for the cherry and peach cobbler. It was all delicious! The best BBQ I have had in a very long time! The people who I assume to be the owners were very nice and down to earth. They were really quick to get our food out as well. We will definitely be back next time we visit.

We camped at Cimarron State Park in late June and July this summer and luckily stumbled on The Lucky Shoe Saloon, during one of the afternoon rain storms. Fortunately, we did it early in our stay, so we had many opportunities to try different items on the menu. I had the pulled pork, mustard-based potato salad, and a salad the first time. It was fabulous. Then I discovered the ribs. Oh my! They were delicious and have spoiled me for Texas ribs for awhile. I had them several times and never regretted it. My husband had the cobbler several times and loved it. We got to know the owners, Mike and Carla. They are great people. They make you feel very welcome, like family. They are in the process of getting their liquor license.

Apparently this restaurant has just recently reopened. A group of us went last night for dinner. It only serves Barbecue but it is pretty darned good. Their plates are very reasonable with good portion sizes. One of our group saved enough room for their Peach Cobbler which he said was really good. We will definitely return.

Beers on Tap at the Lucky Shoe Eagle Nest is a quaint little town and always draws a crowd during the Art Festival. After strolling around the many art booths we enjoyed the beer on tap at the Lucky Shoe. The beers were nice and cold and hit the spot for us. We tried out the Cheese Fries and sadly I can't recommend them to you. The four of us didn't even eat half the order. They were thin fries with cheese sauce poured on top and then smothered with green peppers. Soggy fries would be a much better name. Service was slow and even our beer orders were messed up. Not a good experience for us at all.
