I have bought Mexican rugs and accessories from this place for decades. They just have everything you could imagine. And I bargained with her too. I particularly like their rug section. I would recommend.

Such a wonderful shop! Massive amounts of pottery, sculptures, ristras, kachina dolls, artwork, clothing and hats and belts, rugs and tapestries, jewelry and so much more. Incredible prices, especially compared to the overpriced touristy spots in Taos.Fun owners to meet and chat with.

Really a fun place to search out gifts or travel momentos. Art, rugs, ponchos, blankets, glassware, flower pots, jewelery, pottery, and more; all made by local artisans and also imported from Mexico and Peru. Here, I took a few pics.

A very large shop with everything you might need to complete your dessert southwest decor for indoor or outdoor.

This place has lots of metal yard art and flower pots. Thought their prices were on the high side, but it's been years since I have purchased anything like this, so not really a fair comparison on the prices. I was looking for a rooster for my Mom, the small one was $65, the medium size was $109, didn't even price a large one!

This place has got to be the best gift shop in Taos! The store is absolutely enormous and the staff was so sweet and helpful!

My personal favorite of the three El Prado import shops. A large, diverse and sometimes whacky selection of items; never-ending corridors of Talavera. Proprietors are charming and helpful.

Amazing! This is your one stop shop for Mexican gifts and memorabilia. It's HUGE!! Browsed a few other similar spots in Taos and they all had a fraction of what this store had to offer. It's not a gallery or jewelry store and little of it is authentic New Mexico but it is an fantastic store never the less. I browsed for about 45 minutes and walked out with a vintage lantern for only 22 bucks. Had a nice discussion with the nice lady running the counter and was happy to do business with them. You will probably drive by this shop several times during your stay in Taos but it really is a MUST stop.

Dont buy a rug here. These people are total scam artists. They sell cheap chach at insane prices. The rugs are marked up 10,000 percent then you are supposed to negotiate the price down and buyers often overpay. A little old charming lady will negotiate with you then go to the manger and say that the manager is going to call the rug maker to see if the price can be agreed upon. Then she comes back and gives in to your price plus a bit to make it feel like you really got a deal. Dont be fooled. These are not Navajo rugs as they claim... they are made in mexico and cheap junk just like the rest of the chach in the store.

This place is huge! You could spend an entire day there and not see the whole place. I love the selections of home decor.

Lots to see and easy to get lost in. So much good stuff. But, be careful with pricing. They will charge you more than expected.
