Derek is the man! He has made sure our boats are in tip top shape for the summer! Great customer service and follows up. He really makes the boating experience easy. The shop carries plenty of boards, life jackets, ropes and cleaning supplies. It's the only place I go!

Would not recommend. I dropped my boat off to get some work on June 7th. From the get go communication was horrible. Needed the perfect pass display changed and a transducer for depth. We had some lake trips planned but had to cancel them, because they had my boat and wasn’t ready. Fast forward to July 24th they finally said they had it fixed but had been waiting to test it out. I went out to lake to try to salvage some summer left and to no surprise still not fixed. Exact same thing was wrong with it. I dropped it back off and called and complained. At this point I got the Lubbock office involved and said they fired the mechanic and were sending the Lubbock mechanic. They said they would have it done before labor day so we could have it out (almost a month mind you). Nothing. Crickets. I kept calling would talk to different people in Lubbock. When I would talk to someone, they would say oh parts came in just waiting to go back to T or C. or I’m going to be down there this weekend and I will have eyes on the boat, and I will call you back, and again crickets. Finally, I’m worried because winter is approaching and I have to winterize my boat. They told me we will winterize it for you since we put you through all this. Finally end of September and still no word. The first week of October I called them every day for a week straight because they kept sending me to voicemails and when I talked to the head of the service department they pretty much blew me off saying that its not done they don’t know when they are going to get to it because now they have all these other boats to winterize. I finally picked up my boat on October 6th 4 months later absolutely nothing done to it except they allowed my batteries to drain now I have to replace two deep cell batteries. Its my fault for trying to give these guys a chance for service recovery. I should have taken my boat and ran after they lied to me the first time. I would stay clear from this business. They will keep your boat hostage.

I consigned my Sea Doo boat for them to sell. Derek had it sold in two weeks! Great company and team. I highly recommend them.

Phenomenal experience with Garrett, Derek and the staff at Southwest Water Sports! Garrett went above and beyond to find the boat my husband was interested in, he anticipated questions before we asked, and was amazing at communicating with us. Meeting with Derek for the boat demo was an incredible day-he was patient, took time to show us features on the boat, let us ask a million questions, and was not high pressure on a sale at all. It felt like a day at the lake with a best friend (and you know SWS is popular when everyone at the lake on a Saturday wanted to say hi to Derek and tell him how much they were enjoying their boat). We are brand new to being a boat family and are so thankful to have found Southwest Water Sports, Garrett, and Derek!!

Great people, personalized buying experience!I contacted Derek at New Mexico Wake (NMW) looking at two X-24's they had on OnlyInboards.com, which is amazing because there might be 15 X-24s for sale in the U.S. at any given point. Derek told us all the ins-and-outs of the boats, their little flaws (scratches and such), informed me of what they were fixing and communicated my options to upgrade things- all very straightforward and light hearted (no pressure, sales pitch, pushing for extra spends, etc.).We made the 7 hour drive to Elephant Butte to pick it up still not being 100% sold- it's a big purchase, auto sales are awkward, etcetera.The wife and I are huge critics of character. We will walk from a deal if the people are not "good, real people". Additionally, Cheyenne HATES red (this is relevant). We did a walkthrough, a quick test drive (32 degrees out btw), and back to the shop for some last minute paperwork and fixes, all done very efficiently. To keep this short, they handed us a down-to-earth yet very polished and professionally packaged buying experience, so much so that we bought a RED boat, and loved doing so. Genuinely feel like we gained an ally. Thank you to Garrett and the NMW team for turning a normally painful and lengthy process into an exciting and pleasant experience! Cheyenne came to love the red, I think because of the experience!Special shout-out to the maintenance team for a personal connection, communicating directly about their work, and packaging all the other stuff (cover, pins, etc) up nicely!
