Had a cpap machine paid through private insurance and was out on work comp for extended period of time so there was a lapse in coverage. Called Rotech (whom A-Med uses for cpap equipment) to see what buy out price would be since I was 3 months shy of the 13 month ownership. They told me that because there was a lapse in insurance that the clock would restart even though I am private pay. They said that because Medicare or Medicaid allows them to restart the clock and charge them again that that is their policy. Seems like fraud to me seeing as I had private insurance. I do not recommend this company. You are better off going with a more professional and reputable company other than Rotech.

Ladies who work there are super rude. Lady in the back does not wear her mask and she makes nasty remarks to be rude. It’s sad that they are treating the people like this and there is nothing we can do but take it.

My mother has ALS and requires an oxygen machine to sleep. A-Med took that away without notice, leaving us shocked and despirited. They couldn't even give us one more day to get a workaround with Medicare to keep the machine. I wanted to refuse them to take it, but Theresa threatened me with legal action. "That's a $17,000 machine, we'll call the police if you don't."So now I wonder how these people can be so cruel. They really don't care about their patients, it's all about the money. Theresa, my mother will be gasping for air; how can you sleep at night??

Theresa has absolutely no compassion for family members taking care of their dying loved ones. Go to a different supply company.

My husband just died February 11. A-Med Supply came and collected his hospital bed, Oxygen machine, portable oxygen machine, and 6 bottle of oxygen the same day he DIED. Yet now they are claiming I have refused to return equipment, threatening me/the widow with civil threat, and trying to force me to pay nearly $3,000. They are liars. They apparently cannot keep their books straight. Luckily the funeral home staff were present when the A-Med staff member came the SECOND trip to collect their equipment. I wouldn't recommend this company to any family providing hospice care for their loved ones.
