For some reason, Sandia Labs would much rather repo a vehicle, sell it at auction, and risk not getting all the money back, than they would letting the borrower sell it themselvesYou'd think they'd be willing to do that. They'd get all their money back sooner rather than later. They wouldn't have to worry about contacting attorneys to sue the borrower for the left over money...All I can think is that the people over at SLFCU loss mitigation are really a bunch of sadists who get some sort of thrill over watching people squirm

Ever since Sandia Laboratory Federal Credit Union took over, they use a call center. I had nothing but BAD EXPERIENCES with them. Today, a Teresa with Risk Management was very rude and kept talking over me until I told she was rude and let me finish talking. Very Rude. SHAME ON YOU SANDIA LABORATORY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION, is this how you want your employees to treat us account holders!?

As an account holder for 4 years I walked in because difficult times can hit us all. Inquired about a loan. As a credit union that you bank with, you would expect a certain level of help being a customer. Was told the computer would 100% deny it because of said “difficult times”. Soooo there’s no more human interaction with a so called credit union representative who would consider on a human level. I felt like a stat. “You don’t qualify according to our analytics” is what I heard. Ok cool, now I get all the negative reviews.

Amazing how a 23 year old with an 800 credit score, perfect payment history, a paid off $20k auto loan through this same building, can't even get approved for a $100k mortgage on a $200k (appraised) house. All because I don't have enough open credit accounts. Aka they know I'm not going to be forced to pay the minimum and let them milk me dry via interest payments for the next 20 years. If you're trying to use credit as a tool to get ahead, go somewhere else. These guys are here to make money on the average idiot and nothing more. Other lenders had no problem approving me and if I'm being honest their loan officers were way more knowledgeable/helpful.

Today @ 2ish pm, I went into the 20th street location. I signed in for account help. Ms. Corette Webb helped me register for online banking, and obtain a debit card. She was polite, friendly and easy to work with. Although it took some time to get it all sorted out (no fault to her), she didn't give up. It got done and I had a good experience. Thank you!

Terrible customer service and no direct line to a representative to ask questions. I spent 15 mins in the lobby no greeting no friendly demeanor from staff not a welcoming establishment that is entrusted with financial support. No understanding of Eastern Navajo allottees. Have to jump through hoops to establish a bank account with them. If you want a NO I recommend this place. When is was Animas Credit Union it was different. Either the name change affected its reputation or the staff did.

I was banking with Animas Credit Union, then the switch to SLFCU was horrible. You think they would have sent out Replacement Cards before hand. But nope, I never received mine.Sandia Laboratory Federal Credit Union just sucks all around. ??

DON'T GET AN ACCOUNT HERE. Really terrible. I was a member here with Animas Credit Union and never had any problems with it. They kept my account safe. Now since they switched over in July, 3 times someone hacked my account with multiple charges. I filed a dispute on 1 and then again for a different one the next week. I got money back for the 1st one and a month later went to check on it and IT WAS NEVER FILED!!! So I refiled it again. After that weekend on Monday my card was used again from CA. So that morning I went to the bank and waited an hour but had to leave to get my kids at school. I went back and had to wait an hour again, was so angry I left cause the kids were with me. I dropped them off at home 30 mins away. An came back to the bank and had to wait forever again. Will be closing this account and try Citizen bank.

I did a wire transfer to my friend in NM. Animas CU which is now merged with Sandia Lab Fed CU had been uncooperative with my bank, Chase in NY. We did a recall for the funds since this CU refused to give the funds to my friend on 4/8/22. CU refused to speak to me and staff were rude when I called. They had been unprofessional and uncooperative with my bank in returning my funds. I had reported them to different agencies as the funds were intended to help pay for a child's medical treatment in Korea. Instead, they held onto my money for 2 months and kept demanding paperwork from Chase. They also wanted me to complete a form but never sent Chase the form. They don't know what they are doing. Trying to reach their administrators is useless since no one responded. Katie, manager at Farmington is heartless when I told her my money is donation to help a child and like the devil in disguise, she wasn't helpful. Katie handles the case as per their customer rep when I called. Katie would tell me she doesn't know anything about the case and shows no concerns even though there is a sick child involved. She also said she doesn't make phone calls when I told her the staff at the executive office of Chase had been trying to reach her. I asked to speak to her supervisor and was told there is no one. I also called Sandia Lab Fed since they merged but no one calls me back. I left messages for Ms Smith, one of the supervisors. I also tried to reach out to their board of directors as they should know what kind of staff they have serving the community but was told emails are restricted. I was able to leave a message for their current CEO but no response. Nora, manager at Chase continues to f/u on our recall as Animas CU- Sandia Lab Fed continues to hold onto my $9500 for past 2 months. Anyone who is a customer or want to join this CU should be careful of your money. The staff don't care and even when I have all the transfer paperwork including managers and bankers from Chase who verified I am the sender of the wire transfer, CU had not returned my money. For the 7 yo girl, last I heard was her blood pressure dropped and in critical condition a week ago. . She missed the window period for the stem cell treatment. The child who is an orphan deserves a chance to live but Katie and her credit union destroyed her hope and chance. I want everyone, not just residents in NM to know how uncaring and inhumane the staff behave in this credit union. I don't want any consumers to have to experience what I am going through with this credit union.

The Employee at the front desk was rude and was not there to help but to say "I don't know how this could happen" when told her I received a call from the Amimas Credit Union fraud department reporting to me fraudulent charges, either this was her 1st day on the job or she was accusing me a lying. I have been a member since the 80's I will now be finding a new bank.
