It was ok for our purpose, camp office is a block west of the park in the Billy the kid museum. No camp tables or any kind of things like that, no bathrooms or shower rooms or playground areas for the kids, but was well worth the money we spentPlayground: No playground that I foundRestrooms: No restroomDog-friendliness: Very dog friendly, there were several around on leashes.Picnic area: There was a spool type table under an awning, but no benches or grills.

Way more to it than what it looks like from the outside. It’s not all BTK, there is an enormous amount of old west artifacts/memorabilia. The setting is very rustic but worth the time to wind your way through.

Needed a place close to museum in Ft Sumner and it fit the bill. Very inexpensive, full hookups, no frills. Only 30.00. Only downfall was it was next to a mobile home park.

Big spacious pull throughs. Internet is free, no password and blazing fast. No shade though. Worth stopping by. Billy the Kid Museum is 1 block away. Worth a visit if you're passing thru!

Great old time RT66 tourist trap town, people don't know what they are missing when they fly through a state at 90mph!!! We stopped at this park just to rest up for a night went to the Billy the Kid museum to pay for the RV site and see the museum , there was also a great Mexican restaurant across the street ????

Very clean and well maintained and a real bargain for FHU. Very large level sites. However, no restrooms, laundry, tv or office. They have adequate WiFi however. Great place to spend the night but make reservations. Most sites are occupied by permanent renters. Register at the Billy the Kid Museum, 1 block east.

We lucked out in finding an opening in March. Some road noise and occasional trains, but it was clean and quiet. The amazing part was that we inadvertently left our surge protector on the post - we called the Museum (they own both) and the owner had it on his desk. He was kind enough to mail it out to us at home since we were already 500 miles away. We are forever grateful for his making our oversight an easy fix. Good people.

This is a very basic campground with no bathrooms, showers or laundry. We stayed in pull through full hookup site #24. It was level and comfortable. During setup we noticed several issues with the electrical post. I called the museum and a kind gentleman named Tom stopped by the next morning. He replaced both the 20 amp and 50 amp breakers in about half an hour. Tom was a very nice man and I enjoyed chatting with him. Great service! Free wifi worked at the site and it was blazing fast. My AT&T phone had 3 bars and my wife's Verizon phone had 4 bars. Road traffic was loud but our white noise CD mostly blocked it out at night. All things considered this was a great deal at only $20.00 per day. Dave's Grocery down the street is above average for a small town. Good prices and they also have fresh fruits and vegetables. Don't miss the Fort Sumner Historic Site. Excellent museum with interactive exhibits that will literally bring you to tears!

Great little spot. Stopped here just for a quick overnight. I called yesterday to find out about a spot. A man called me this morning- Gave me instruction. Things were just as he said they would be. Nothing fancy.WiFi and full hookup for $20 a night! Can’t beat it. Gravel spots. Ours is very level.

I only needed a 1-night stopover and called the morning I wanted to stay, I was assigned a space, and given directions to the site and the options to pay. There’s a drop box for cash in the park, or you can pay with a credit card at the Billy the Kid Museum during their open hours, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. I arrived before the museum closed, so I walked the block from the RV Park to the museum to check in and pay. Very friendly and efficient service - $20 per night for full hookups in a clean no-frills park. There are only a few trees, no restroom or shower facilities, no camp store, etc. But a clean park at a good price! Just looking around as I was checking in made me interested in touring the Museum in the morning. I would stay here again.

$20 is the perfect price for this park. It accommodates overnight needs - We had a nicely large pull-thru on a dusty gravel site with 50 amps/full hook-ups. Dogs contained in their RVs in the park barked at Husband the entire time we were setting up, but I was grateful they would certainly alert us if any ne'er-do-wells were to come around in the night. Traffic is LOUD - louder than our white-noise makers. Still, it was easy in and easy out so the pros outweighed the cons. We're likely to stay here again if passing through the area.
