More spices and herbs would help the rating but overall, Albertson's in Gallup, NM is a grocery store that I stop at at least three times a week. The deli employees are polite and efficient. I always feel welcome even if I am just stopping by for a bottle of water and a pack of gum.

To be honest I do not shop at this store anymore. I use to pride myself in shopping at Albertsons for fresh and stocked items but for the past 4 years I have noticed that the store has become run down. Worked for this store recently for 5 years and I have seen a lot of nasty stuff go on in the back rooms. I have witnessed product being left out of refrigeration for days at a time. " Crab legs, chicken wings, fried chicken, milk, eggs" items being tossed on the ground and then being made for sale "all bread items in bakery". Tons of molded products ranging from cheese, fruits, and bread. Half of the product being put up is not being rotated.. All this was reported to lost prevention and upper management but nothing was done besides moving it back into refrigeration... That's when I decided not to shop at this store.... Sad to say 80% of the workers don't even shop at Albertsons they go to Safeway across town. Can't keep store directors because the managers they do have are incompetent, Lazy, or just rather hide in the office and do basic stuff that's not their job. Sad to say that management is making a bad name for the Safeway/ Albertsons brand. If you take pride in what you eat and want safe food for your family I do recommend to keep driving to another store. Even Lowe's is a cleaner store.. which is sad....

Well...I asked for a 1lb of sliced roast beef, an expense I treated myself to. As a former cook/food service worker, the meat slicer was disgusting and the weight scale was nasty...mentioning it to the in-charge lady was meant with a high brow look?! With the crew that was working, cleaning was not a priority. Very disappointing as I'm a local. I applied for work at this local store and mentioned the cleanliness of the deli dept. but as with any manager's experience I was not surprised with their response. Disappointed bcuz these's were natives who were not motivated or cared enough about their own community.

recently went to albertsons on 01262024. I just ran in to quickly grab a rotisserie chicken and when i walked in i seen there was none left so decided to ask one of the deli members when the new rotisserie chicken were going to be ready. unfortunately i had chosen the wrong store to go into. The deli member told me that they were not going to make any more chicken at this time. (4:30pm) in a very rude tone, the girl deli member kept looking at me mad huffing and puffing. She was saying something under her breath that i couldn't understand. I then decided to not get anything at this store and instead just go to walmart even with the lines there. Employees always on their phones at Albertsons, rude customer service, and the store is always dirty, especially during closing time when they clean the floors throwing dust and smoke into our faces....This is not a safe place for people with health problems.

I go to this store often and get what I need! It’s all ways easy to navigate and clean. I have had only had 3 issues with the store - the meat will be bad or go bad within a day, not always, but sometimes. It’s in my fridge immediately after going home and I will get ready to cook it and it smells. I’m not sure why? I wonder if the store could invest in better coolers or maybe there is in proper storage in the back that starts the rot process :(again I go here often for lots of things and it’s always good and clean and quick!

The salads are very good. But! I ordered a cake and it looks great but when we tasted it. It tasted like freezer burn cake, and it did not taste fresh or wasn't Chantilly cake. I was very disappointed...
