2150 E, U.S. Rte 66, GallupCasual dining. Recommended by a local as we were traveling Route 66. Promptly seated and order taken quickly. Full restaurant. We had the vegetable beef soup. It was great and just like mom's. We also had the Santa Fe Omelet, which was the best omelet we ever ate. The waiter was prompt and attentive, very polite, also. We would definitely return.

The relleno — made with hatch chiles instead of poblano — was something special. It was tender and had a crisper taste. I wish all rellenos were made this way! My husband ordered the carne adovada. Both of us licked our plates clean!
The waitress didn’t quite know answers to our questions (we urged her to ask the cook staff), but the food made it all worth it! And other waitresses checked in on us even if they weren’t waiting on us.
We will be here again!
