My husband, two boys and I were able to visit Winfield trading when we were in the area with my parents. They have a remarkable selection of high-quality Native American jewelry. It is astounding how knowledgeable their staff is about what they have in the shop at any given time. They are very transparent about the origin of different pieces that they have and are incredibly helpful about making sure that you know exactly what you are getting. I had a bracelet made and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! They were wonderful with our two little boys who were wowed by all of the different stones that they saw and they were incredibly patient with the boys. In addition, presentation speaks so much about commitment. They have done a tremendous job of setting up all of the finished jewelry pieces and raw stones they have in such an artistic way that really shows they care about what they do. Highly recommend a visit to anyone in the area.

High quality jewelry, friendly honest and good prices. They have a huge stock of items both new and old and represent the best of the best in Native American art.

Don't be mislead by those importing and implying that their products are made by Native Americans. At Winfield's you can be sure the pieces are authentic and truthfully represented. We have purchased items there on three occasions in the last two years and they are among my wives most cherished pieces in her collection. We shop stores and pow wows in Texas but also Albuquerque;Santa Fe;Gallup; Sedona;Estes Park; and Taos. When we get home the one place we had the best experience and saw the finest pieces was Winfield's. Thanks Justin, Rebecca, and your fine team for offering authentic items at excellent values and for supporting the Native American Artist by explaining their history and inspiration for the one of a kind creations.

This place is like a museum of southwest art. Except you can buy things and take them home . The owners can tell you pretty much everything you'd ever want to know about turquoise, jewelry, or the area. Definitely one of the best places to visit when you come to Gallup.

After visiting about 40 Native jewelry dealers throughout AZ and NM, I had a number of recommendations to visit Winfield when travelling through Gallup. The dealers that seemed to have authentic items recommended Winfield. I was so happy when I visited to Winfield Trading Post. They are about halfway between Gallup, NM and Zuni. I closely examined the Zuni items and asked lots of questions. I admit that I have already been fooled by fake Zuni jewelry but in that process I have learned a great deal both about authenticity and value. I'm not an expert but in my judgement, Winfield is one of the very best Native American jewelry dealers in the southwest. The only items that had unknown origins were the pawn items. That makes sense and is the same comment as other top dealers. No one can know the exact origin of an item that was made many years ago and was not purchased from the creator. In the case of the rest of the items in the store, they claim that every item was purchased from the Native American folks who crafted it. I can say this: The selection was second to none and the quality is stunning. They allowed my wife and I to examine the hundreds of thousands of items in two of their three vaults. I don't believe a better value can be had except by going to the pueblos and buy direct from the craftsmen themselves.

Not sure what the previous reviewer was getting at with that vague review, but we had a really positive experience at Winfield trading. We had visited several pawn shops/trading posts during our time in Gallup, and this was by far the most pleasant and educational! The merchandise is beautiful, the sales people were knowledgeable and extremely patient in answering our many questions. Don't let the other reviewer deter you from visiting. At the very least, it's a beautiful ride and also a relief to get out of town for a bit .

I love stopping in Gallup, NM for the great turquoise & silver Indian jewelry most trading posts have and the wonderful prices they sell their items at however when we stopped at Winfield Trading Company I was blown away. Their items are spectacular. The people are very helpful. And the amount of different items is phenomenal. I would highly recommend anyone who is shopping for turquoise and/or silver jewelry to stop there. You can't go wrong!

While taking a trip to the southwest I came across many "trading companies." After stopping at many along the highway I still had not found any jewelry that was truly captivating. While in the Gallup area I asked some of the locals if there was a trading post or gallery that they would specifically recommend. Four different people told me that I must drive south on highway 602 to the Winfield Trading Company. I hopped in my car a drove about 20 minutes south until I came to the store. What I found was one of the nicest shops in the southwest filled with a stunning collection of authentic native American jewelry, antique baskets, art work and other traditional items of the southwest. Winfield trading company is a must see for anyone in the area or just passing through on interstate 40.
