Very nice basic no-fee campground with a vault toilet, probably not taken care of right now due to the government shutdown. A bar in walking distance.

So, after reading reviews, we weren't expecting much. But this is a great spot for free, relaxed, time camping. Pit toilet only, but that works great for us. Sites were comfortable, with tables and a fire pit, and were relatively level. A scattering of trees as well, giving some shade.

Small bu free campsite right beside the highway and very close to the Catwalk National REcreational Area, Pit Toilet is very clean with toilet paper but no garbage bins. You have to take your grbage out. Need to get there early, othewise a site is not guaranteed.
