“How do I begin to write this most emotional review? Allow me to start with the situation: My wife and I are about 2/3 of the way to Santa Rosa from California when my worst fear was realized, my Dash exploded with color like a Christmas tree, every light lit up and within minutes after I had parked, the car had completely died.... fear, panic and despair beyond any words - however much you might personally think I was going through you need to times that by 100. After all we are on our way back from California all the way to Arkansas.... I felt completely stuck.... I called AutoZone and Skylar answered. Based on his guidance, I now have a plan at least, I have my tools I'm going to pull the alternator and let's go to AutoZone and test it. No Uber in Grants?????? Now what??? So I make a last ditch call to Skylar to see if he has any friends that are willing to help. Now enter brother Jesse, our Earthly Angel who not only picks me up, made sure I got there in a timely matter, then made sure I got back, helped me reinstall it cuz I'm still shaking at this point and stayed with us until we were confident that I was able to drive our car further and that the alternator was indeed the problem. I will have everyone know I'm sitting in my chair here in Arkansas. Who does this? Brothers Skylar & Jesse did.... they did not have to do this it was so close to closing most would be concerned about going home and popping open a cold one. And maybe they did but not 'til after we were on our way.... how do we express our gratitude? The least I can do is the most positive review that I can. Not to mention Jesse was off the clock, so we compensated what we could at the end of our vacation and I will have you know not one penny was asked of us, not one.... Jesse's heart was that of a person who just wanted to sincerely help the best he could unconditionally. And that he did. So are most sincerest thank yous to Skylar and to Jessie for helping us out the way that they did. “Not all hunts go to plan. This is my elk hunt 2025. The morning I got on elk, a handful of cows and one small bull. On a high about early success went to look at another spot for the evening hunt and my front right shock broke off and hit my fuse box exposing a wire which created a short. Ended up having to use a back country tow company to pull me out. time lost and added expenses killed the hunt but I am lucky that Steve with Off the Edge Recovery in Grants, NM was there! The tow was not the expensive part of all of this surprisingly. Quick addition to all my hunts now is a contact with a tow company that services the mtns I will be hunting, and Steve will be on speed dial when I am back up there for my deer tag!”
