“Pretty good gym. My only complaint is that I wish they had more benches near the dumbbell rack because there is almost always a wait line to use them. Maybe replace some of the cardio equipment upstairs with more dumbbells and benches? Very rarely do I see more than 4 or 5 of the treadmills/ellipticals in use at a time, but the dumbbells and some of the other weightlifting equipment is always occupied. Otherwise it's a great gym with lots of different options for equipment, and is always clean.”

“Gym #20 in Alamogordo, New Mexico, is a compact gym that delivers! The showers are a standout—hands down the best of the 20 gyms I’ve visited. With its Corian countertops resistant to desert hard water stains, non-slip flooring, it’s clear the designer put serious thought into it. Women get a dedicated shower space, complete with multiple hooks for towels and belongings, a hairdryer, storage cubbies, and pull-down paper towels (a big win over those finicky machine rollups!) Major props to the designer for creating such a well-executed setup.
The gym itself is buzzing with energy—packed with dedicated weightlifters at 6:15 AM, showing its strong community vibe. The cardio area, lined up against large bay windows with a view of the street, keeps your treadmill walks engaging, though the 7 AM sunrise can be a bit intense. Some blinds or a fan in that section would make it even more comfortable. Beyond the cardio, the gym offers a tanning bed, vending machines, and a free cell phone charging station—a nice modern touch. They also have a suggestion box, showing they’re open to feedback, and high-quality protein bars and bottles available for purchase via a payment box (though cash-only is a slight hiccup for card users like me).”

“I’m a big fan of this gym! This is my second time visiting Alamogordo and I needed a gym to workout for the day. The price of the day pass was perfect and the gym was awesome. I love the old school atmosphere but the owners were very nice and welcoming. When I pas through next year I will be going back. Thanks guys!!!!!”
