Fishing, camping, they have it, with some unexpected things also. My wife stocked up on the native blankets. This place is it’s own destination.Awesome folks running the place!

An extremely friendly and and welcoming general store where you can stock up on your essentials during a visit to the Jemez Mountains. The owner, Ray, always reminds me of the kindly shopkeeper, Nels Oleson, from Little House on the Prairie. Like Mr. Oleson, he’s a folksy, hospitable, honest and gentlemanly proprietor of an essential rural country store. A true All-American outpost in the Wild West.

It is rumored that Biz Markie time traveled to this fine little store, and this is where he started to pen the lyrics to his 1989 hit “Just a Friend.” Because baby you, you got what I need…

First off Amanda has everything you forgot, you need, and you don’t need but decided you want! Fishing licenses and reprints (I always forget mine). Fishing poles for reasonable prices, folding chairs, worms, hooks, propane exchange, sandwich stuff and ramen noodles ? everything-and the friendliest most knowledgeable staff around! Also they will let you get 5-10 cash back Incase you forgot cash so you can pay for the Fenton lake fee or other fees where you stop (but max 10). They have cool NM trinkets and the best part of all is that Amandas is a memory from my childhood and now my children’s memory as well! It’s simple things that kids remember-stopping on the way to go camping and fishing and getting that special candy that they really don’t have in every store in Abq. The Giant Jawbreakers, and the sugar crystals on sticks that they have when you visit the store on the Crest. My husband and I went last weekend for our 26th anniversary and we brought all of our adult children Jawbreakers! They don’t need a recommendation but they deserve one. Stop in just to say hello and get an ice cream bar or snack! Make them your new memory in the area!

What a great find! We happened to see this store as we drove by and just had to stop in and check it out. Very nice folks! We managed to find a baseball cap and a tortilla warmer we couldn't live without. If you're in the area, you should definitely stop and check it out!

Must stop! You'll get anything that you need for the miles ahead you'll experience of sublime beauty but without any gas stations or convenience stores. The place is cozy, warm and inviting.
