Great place to volunteer! Making lunch starts at 7:30, although if that's too early, you can still help prepare the meal anytime before noon. Helping serve is another possibility; get there by 11:30

They have real cooks that make the food and it shows in the quality.

They serve lunch. I would like to see what their annual financial cost are, the breakdown. I would check their website, but it doesn't open, even though I have Java set.

It's a good place to volunteer if you want to help out the community. Monday through Friday they serve breakfast and a hot lunch. Saturday they serve a bag lunch and Sunday they serve a hot lunch. All their food is really good and donated by the community.

I'm Chicano and look white. This place is very generous but every time I come here the full bloods give me ugly looks like I don't belong here. It's unfair.

Got robbed there by 7 Mexicans and the food there is pretty good, and you can get a decent amount of day snacks

This establishment needs volunteers all the time. Come donate your time or anything for that matter. Food here is good. The cake is delicious. If you are ever in need of a meal come and grab one.

I was a volunteer for Saturday. I found it was well organized, friendly volunteers working well together to offer sandwiches, water and other drinks, snacks and fruits given by businesses that are wanting to help the homeless.

The El Caldito Soup Kitchen has been rated the best in the nation and with good reason. An efficient gleaning program from local grocery stores allows past due date but still very usable food to not be wasted, but put to good use instead. Volunteer crews prepare tasty and nutritious breakfast and noontime meals to all who come during advertised serving times. CoVid restrictions are carefully followed. No one need go hungry in Las Cruces.

In my opinion the Management and Staff of the food distribution aspect are very excellent indeed. The overall "campus" (especially since theaddition of the "Community of Hope" years ago) is a great example of DivineRacketeering and Soylent Green/Monsters Inc. BUT FAR MORE HELLISHoverall milieu.

Very generous. Balanced meal. I came late on the 1st day I got to Las Cruces. I went through numerous trash cans in the area, and I got myself a balanced meal, with desert! Water bottles can be filled from 3 outdoor deep sinks. Several portable restrooms are in the area.

Took my daughter down with me to volunteer some time on Thanksgiving day. Very clean, organized, other volunteers were great to work with and the food was very good. They seem to care about what they are doing.
