“My family of 5 (me, hubby, and 3 kids, 15-13-9) traveled from slidell to San Marcos for a wedding in June and stayed in multiple hotels along the way, This place was one of them. .
We stayed in a room with 2 queens and a sofa bed.
I felt very safe at this hotel
The beds were super comfortable. The sofa bed was great. The room was clean. The pool area was clean. There was plenty of hot water for all of us to shower.
Plenty of outlets for all of our electronics.
Having a freezer in the room was perfect.
The breakfast was great. Plenty of options.
Coffee was meh.
Only bad thing was the weird musty smell in the room but we got over it quick.”

“Great stay here! The staff was all attentive and helpful. The room was clean and well stocked. Breakfast was great. Lots of people spent time at the pool or in the outdoor seating. I liked that it is right next to running trails and only a few miles from downtown. Easy access to the highway.”

“I’ve had a great experience staying at Big Chile Inn. The staff including Paul, Haley, and Anthony are so friendly and welcoming and always willing to help with whatever. The rooms are clean, spacious, and reasonably priced, and the property feels safe and quiet. They have cameras all around the property, a security guard who walks around at night, and the gate closes in the evening, which gives me peace of mind. I never see people hanging around outside or causing problems and I haven’t had one negative experience while staying here.
One of my favorite things about this place is the beautiful courtyard. The landscaping is well-maintained, and there’s a koi pond with beautiful fish, a gazebo where you can sit and relax, and a clean pool that’s always nice to look at and enjoy. There’s also a laundry room and they sell snacks and drinks in the lobby that’s much cheaper than vending machines and gas stations!
Overall, I would definitely recommend Big Chile Inn to anyone looking for a clean, safe, quiet, and affordable place to stay.”
“It was a nice hotel. It was clean and the lobby area was pretty. The staff was great. I will likely stay here again next month when I return.
Food and drinks: I did not use it, but they had a bar in the lobby with several men and several women having drinks in the evening.

“Staff is great!! Sai was a delight the entire stay!! We ended up having to extended for a good while and he was always ready to assist us in anyway!! Cleaning staff does an amazing job. Joann at the front desk explains everything thoroughly, answers any and all questions, she's always ready to help in anyway, and makes sure you have what you need. Rooms are clean and hotel is quiet to provide an excellent night's rest!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!”

“This location is quite good! All the staff are very friendly and happy to help! The location right next to New Mexico State and the highway make it very safe and easy to get access to the rest of town. They don’t have a gym but they allow you to use the gym next door at the Comfort Inn. I give it 4 stars because they have the thinnest (what is usually a thin comforter) top blanket and a rather small TV. Definitely very clean and safe for the price.”

“The hotel is very deteriorated, it urgently needs remodeling, the carpets are dirty, old, finished as well as the dirty walls, the elevator is in poor condition, the entire hotel is very bad, I can't complain about the service, they treated us very well from counter to cleaning staff and where you have breakfastI do not recommend it, apart from the price it is not cheap at all.Rooms: Very ugly, dirty, old everythingNoteworthy details: Everything very dirty and deteriorated”

“This is the best motel I have stayed in. I’ll be staying here for a couple months and so far these motels have been the greatest motel out of all New Mexico. The owners are very nice. The staff is very nice. The breakfast is very delicious. My favorite part about this whole experience is the swimming pool is clean and well maintenance. They open it from 10 AM to 10 PM and they’re really really nice location is Bayon university and there’s a lot of places that you can eat very nice very cool. Best place to be at best place to stay if you want to just stay in Las Cruces New Mexico.”
