Excellent service, selection and pricing in the doors department. We found Lowes to be the best place to buy all five exterior doors we've bought since 2023.

10 out of 10 for our experience with Lowes store and personnel this week.
On 10/20/2025 we ordered two exterior doors from Lowes. Lowes had the best selection in the styles we wanted for our classic home. As beautiful as the other three doors we installed last year, still competitively priced compared to the doors we looked at elsewhere in Las Cruces.
The man who helped us choose and order the exact doors we needed was excellent. Mature and clearly knowledgeable about everything to do with the installation required. (When I see him in the store next time, I will write down his name to add to this review.)
We were amazed that the doors arrived the same week, earlier than expected.

I used to buy through Lowes almost exclusively. In recent years they have been terrible to work with, they can mess up the simplest orders, they lie about delivery times and dates (on special order stuff) And it's as if rudeness and smugness are sought after customer "service" traits. Worst of all is their credit department (outsourced) which is horrific to deal with. They "upgraded" my pro status and took away my veteran's discount. For several years now I run around 60K a year through their competition and only use them on rare occasions and its always just more aggravation.

We spent over two hours trying to place an order for delivery to our house at the customer service desk on 3/14. We had to speak with Frankie in tools, who was excellent at his customer service and was able to help us out. However the rest of our experience was dismal. The first issue was Moh at customer service desk trying to tell us that the exact same item (and item number) minus the color were two different items and that was why the price was $100 different. We requested to speak to someone in tools. Frankie came up and did his job excellent. After Frankie in tools had confirmed with Moh in customer service what we were wanting and paying for, and had everything ready to go, Moh ended up helping three other customers behind us before we finally spoke up and asked why he kept skipping us. He said it was because we were still waiting on Frankie and we said "no, he came up here twenty minutes ago to confirm so that you can take our payment and we can go". By this time we had been standing at customer service for nearly two hours. Eventually they scheduled our delivery for the next day, Sunday morning.

Sunday morning, Lowe's tried to deliver us a broken display after we were very specific we did not want the displays, we wanted the unassembled boxes sent to us. The box was even locked with no way to open it. So my husband sent it back and refused to sign for it. I called Lowe's customer service and after a bit of confusion and time, we were able to confirm that we would take the same item in a different color as the reason they tried to deliver the broken display was that while their stock showed that color in back stock it indeed wasn't in the store.

So we set up delivery for Monday the 17th and I had texts to confirm. By 4pm, nothing arrived so I called customer service (during this time the automation said march 24). I was then told multiple conflicting times. One person said it will be by 8pm, when I said what my text said, she argued and then sent me to a manager. The manager then told me that no deliveries would go to 8pm, but then had more conflicting information again that it's somehow now set to 3/24 and again they assumed we wanted assembly with it and that must be the delay. At that point the frustration was too great so I asked for a cancelation and refund back to my card. They instead told me it would be cash and I had to go pick up my money in person. I'll be shopping at home depot from now on where they also honor veterans discounts as well.

Robert from the paint department is a life saver! He perfectly matched the paint in my bathroom using a small sliver of a paint chip that I brought in. He was also very courteous & his willingness to help is a rarity nowadays. Lowes, please recognize your employee as he is an asset to your store.

Watch 0ut for installation fees. We paid about 850.00 for cooktop on sale. Installation was 219.00. Installer came as scheduled but could not put cooktop in since he had to cut 1/4" from each side, he did not have the jigsaw needed to do the job. THE installer asked if Lowes came out to measure and we said it was never offerred to us. Over $400.00 for installation, almost 50% of the cooktop price. Installer would not come back till Lowes charged us another $180.00 over the phone for a total of $400.00! We need ro replace our aging appliances, we will not be back! SENIORS, watch out, i think they see us coming!!!

I was shopping early, before 9 am. Even though I wanted to shop in the garden department I had to use the main entrance. In the garden center I asked 3 people in a group for a flat cart. They said "they're outside or in the lumber department." Really? You don't have a cart there to put my rocks on? I have to go all the way out to come all the way back in with a cart? Do better, not only with available carts where needed but with the attitudes of the 3.

Purchased a washer dryer combo. Problems with delivery but once it got it delivered the two guys who delivered did an excellent job(Antonio and Axel). My plumbing leaked so they hooked everything up but I’ll need a plumber to fix it ( not anything they did).They were very helpful and made sure to do everything they could.I was impressed by their professionalism.
