Professional Review:I seldom write reviews for companies, as most fail to impress, but today warrants an exception. It's been six months since I engaged this company to construct a Gaming Rig tailored to my specifications, leveraging the AMD chipset. Typically, I undertake such endeavors myself due to a lack of trust in others, but the prospect of circumventing the extensive research and labor prompted me to delegate this task.To my delight, they delivered an exceptional build that not only met but exceeded my expectations. The assembly was executed with commendable professionalism, showcasing meticulous wire management. Subsequent rigorous testing through intense gaming sessions and video editing revealed a substantial performance upgrade from my previous system. Moreover, the standout feature was their unparalleled customer service. The staff demonstrated a high level of professionalism, attentiveness, and a genuine commitment to understanding and accommodating my needs within budget constraints. I wholeheartedly recommend anyone in need of similar services to consider them.In conclusion, my experience with this company has been outstanding, and I will undoubtedly return for any future computer-related requirements.

It's a great store really, the people are nice. The knowledge gap between certain workers is there, some know more than others, while some of them are just there to try and sell you something. The owner knows best. You'll want to talk to him.THIS review is mostly geared towards the people that know well enough about computers. With that being said, I believe THIS store is mostly geared towards the people that don't know much about computers. Some time ago, I brought in an old junker that didn't work and played it off like I didn't really know much of what I was looking at, maybe they could identify the parts, tell me what's wrong with it, get a price check on what it'd cost, if I were to pay for services.I did this because I wasn't sure what kind of tech store this was, I just wanted to see what kind of knowledge was in the room, and I wasn't disappointed, there's just something I want to put out there.I mean nothing by it when I say this, but the guy I spoke to seemed more like a salesman than a tech guy, suggesting 32GB of RAM in a form factor computer, paired with a processor that won't be able to utilize 32. or a full retail priced OS for 100$ so I can get all the latest WINDOWS updates which you absolutely do not need (they say this because they have to, but we all know you can buy an OS online for less than 25) Even suddenly went on to suggest I buy a whole different prebuilt computer for over a thousand, which I've seen a few other people mention in different reviews. In the end, the service price was about 200 or 300 I think. Apart from the unnecessary things, I'm pretty sure that's because it's a form factor, and these things are a nightmare in terms of upgrade path and troubleshooting. You'll spend less money trying to do something this on your own. You just need patience and the ability to read and comprehend. Not gonna wrap up my experience with MD based on that one visit, I just didn't get a great roll of the dice and I bet I would have fared better speaking to someone else at the time, nobody's fault really. And it's not completely geared towards people that don't know computers, even though I said that in the beginning. That's just kinda unfair. Be wary, is all.Seriously though, these guys are chill, they're really nice and they generally know their stuff. But if you also know your stuff, you won't really need to come in here, not unless you want to buy something, they got a neat catalog. Just be careful overpaying for things that you don't need when it comes to service. Or do yourself a solid and take the time to learn computers so you can do this stuff yourself. It really isn't that hard and you'll save so much money.

I live in Silver City. Because I do a lot of imaging processing and I made a mess of my old computer I started the process of building my own PC. During the process I ran into an issue I couldn't resolve. I found MDC Computers in Las Cruces and saw that it had a 5 star rating. I gave them a call and descibed what been done up to the point of when I cound't get a signal to the monitor. They were very helpful and tried to resolve the problem over the phone. It became apparent we couldn't resolve it over the phone. I dropped it off to their office. They spent a good deal of time gathering invormation. While they coudn't get back to me that day because of some hardware issues, I did have it back 2 days later. A week later I recieved a follow up e-mail making sure that everything had worked out. MDC has provided service above and beyond any expectaion I may of had. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Update: owner’s passive aggressive, as shown in response. It’s not helpful to the client to suggest they spend several thousand dollars on a new computer when there is absolutely nothing wrong with their current computer, other than needing a new screen. That’s like buying a brand new car because you need a new brake job. I didn't need your opinion, I needed my screen fixed. Glad I Local Tech took care of me. I highly recommend Local Tech for any of you needing assistance.Told me that he couldn’t repair my MacBook Pro for a reasonable price and that I might as well get a new one because it could cost the same ($3,000). I went to Local Tech and they had it fixed in just a few hours for under $200.

MDC Computers have a Superb Technical Staff and are Very Client Orientated. My Windows 10 Computer had a Corrupted Partition along with Registry Issues. They Fixed the Partition and did a Clean Install of Windows 10 and Reinstalled some of my Programs, Installed several program so I was Operational, and ALL of my 4 GB of Data which was a surprise to me. I am a very computer savvy technical person having worked with Computers for 35 years. I know a Great Computer Service Company when I see it. They quoted me 80 to 120 to fix the hinge and when I dropped off the laptop I had the guy put a sticky note on the laptop instructions "do not close laptop" due to hinge. They turned around and told me the whole screen needed to be replaced and said it was 340. So I refused and went to pick it up and the screen was shut closed. ? I was upset that I had to open it and now have a cracked screen due to them not following instructions first of all. I still use the laptop, I just don't close it and these guys till charged me 120 to CAUSE MORE DAMAGE!

I took my prebuilt gaming PC to get some parts installed, costed around $300 for them to install a motherboard, cpu, and ram. I have been having constant issues with my pc since they installed the parts. Random blue screen crashes, Display Port wasn't working after. Not only did they take about a week to work on my PC but all these issues has just left me with a headache.

I was thoroughly impressed with the wealth of knowledge that the owner has on computers. He gave me the information and answers I was looking for straight and to the point. He did not try to over sell me any products or computers but was straight forward why he charges the money he does for a rebuild. I could feel the knowledge in the air the second I walked in. His explanation he gave for a (honestly the price was not that high but) rebuild with the specifications I was looking for were met and it honestly had a great price. However, I was not capable of spending that much right then. I am going back with my tail tucked between my legs to buy said computer because without reading any reviews or talking to anyone but a tech at Best Buy who pointed his shop out, I can see the quality of work just by looking around his shop and hearing the knowledge he shared. He will be hearing from me soon to come buy that computer and I'll give him the one he warned me not to buy so he can use it as a door stop. Thank you MDC for your continued service to our community and your expertise. GO MDC!

My tower wouldn't connect to the internet and after checking the connection with another computer and the same cable, I took my tower to MDC. I went over the issue with Alex and asked that they also check the overall health of the device. When Alex called me back, he indicated they had no problem getting it to connect. He mentioned that during the check of my tower, they noticed one of my mechanical drives was showing signs of age and recommended that it be replaced. I asked about SSD options and selected one. I later received a call that there was a less costly solution with a SSD that would plug into my motherboard. A pleasant surprise and confirmation of what I'd heard about MDC. When I got it home it wouldn't connect. I called MDC and after a discussion, they suggested I turn off my AVG app and try again. The tower connected. Not sure what was going on with that but as I have other anti virus protection it didn't bother me. Vet pleased with my experience.
