If you need to donate items for a great cause, this is definitely the place to do it .... and if you are looking for great items from clothing, to collector pieces or anything else, start here first.Never mind the friendly staff!

Thinking I was helping animals everywhere, got kicked out for not wearing the "right" mask. Was told I needed a "surgical" one. Whaat? I am not interested in shopping at any place that doesn't respect patrons! Thanks for nothing!

Small store, but I found a few little things to buy. Workers were very nice and friendly. Fun shopping experience!

Polite when they accepted my contribution. They love taking stuff. Then I picked up an item to buy, which was snatched out of my hand by people who are apparently friends of this group. The friend of theirs was over 6 feet, a few inches from my face and extremely intimidating, screaming in my face. Staff person joined in without checking to see what caused it. I won't ever donate here or buy here.. and regret giving them my items. Very rude, nasty, unsafe place, poor quality. If I could give it a negative 50 stars, I would. AVOID.

Great prices and helpful staff I was just sensitive to the smells from all the crafty items. Most people would find this pleasant I am just allergic to a lot of smells.

A treasure around every corner! Merchandise changes as donations come in. It all supports the animals of the Mesilla Valley. The store is clean, the staff friendly. I visit at least weekly!

Prices a bit high for a thrift store, but it's for a good cause. Some interesting and unique items.

I've shopped this store in the past, looking for little treasures to flip and never had an issue. I've purchased items and was always treated friendly. Today though, as I was going through their CDs (scanning barcodes) I was approached by the young man who pointed out that they do not allow scanning. I don't understand that policy. If I look through the items without scanning I probably wouldn't purchase anything BUT... if I look through the items while scanning the probability of finding something that I can resell is higher, resulting in a sale for the store. As it stands now, I won't be back to support their charitable cause. Unfortunately.

Just the fact that their main purpose is supporting homeless animals gave me and my daughter more than enough reason to come here, there are many stray cats running around her apartment complex and she definitely has a soft spot for them and hopes that one day they will all find loving homes (she took in a black and white one already). This place is very tidy and well organized compared to the total disarray of many other thrift stores and the staff is all smiles and love! They seem to take great pride in what they do which helps us feel welcomed and drives us back for more visits. My daughter bought a blanket with a tortilla print on in it here and she wraps herself in it and watches her silly We Bare Bears show at night after work. It was a bargain too and it excellent condition, very clean and well kept and she's super happy she found such a whimsical piece at a steal of a price! Nothing icky at all about Second Chance, unlike a lot of the competition!

This store benefits Action Program for Animals, an excellent non-profit that has unselfishly served the community in the following ways: "The ACTion Programs for Animals adoption center offers cats and dogs for adoption as well as other community services, such as the pet food bank, low-cost vaccination clinics, and dog training classes." I would go to this business first if I was looking to adopt or Foster, as well she networks and knows this community.Secondly, I am impressed with the diversity and quality of items in the store that makes browsing a joy. I know with the COVID she was short handed and also operates the other business so hours have been flexible with her and she might want to look into that if it her opening hours are not correct. 10-6: M-Sat. Call first.Other than being open according to her posted hours, I’m impressed with the store and I like to support her cause in the community as well.

manager is so rude and clearly only cares about herself instead of customers. the employees are incredibly disrespectful. when i went they kept giving me really nasty looks and i was just trying to browse around but they were watching me as if i was gonna try something. it made me feel really uneasy and overall uncomfortable. what kind of store does that to its customers? i don’t recommend going here at all. also little to no covid precautions.

can’t believe this place represents action programs for animals, not a good look. Terrible service
