The Econo-Lodge in Lordsburg is conveniently located just off I-10. We stopped after midnight for a quick rest on our road trip to Arizona. The grounds were what you might expect - lots of concrete and no plants or grass. I gave this establishment a three star rating based on the comfortable bed alone, as everything else was old and quite dirty. We were greeted by a dirty rag in front of our door and a visible two-inch gap under the front door. Inside, the gap was covered by a plastic strip glued to the door. The room was spacious and included a loud refrigerator that actually worked well for white noise if you need that kind of thing. The mirrors were quite dirty and all fixtures or anything metal was nearly dissolved by rust. The fresh paint was in places it shouldn’t be or not in places it should be. The toilet paper holder was broken, so the toilet paper just sat on the edge of the badly stained bathtub. If you can get past all that, the bed was comfortable and we were there to sleep. I would not have showered or bathed in that tub. They do also provide breakfast.

Rooms have microwaves, tv, and minifridge/freezer. Came with 4 people for a business trip w/ 2 rooms. It was clean, beds were hard (good for half, bad for the rest) in terms of firmness. I feel like the floor would've been softer. They have breakfast (juice/waffles). The employees their were very nice!Worse things were: Someone came outside our room in the parking lot and did a burnout for a few minutes around 1am. Drove about a block away before parking at assume what was their house. Found a bedbug in my bed (photo). And worst of all, I got scabies after my visit here. I am not a touchy person at all, we all slept in 4 separate beds. No one else seemed to have big issues, since I was the only one who had bed bugs, and got scabies afterwords. Not enjoying insects burrowing in my skin atm. Wish I slept on the floor at this point.Rooms: Clean rooms, beds harder than the flooring, small TV, microwave, minifridge with freezer compartment.Safety: I was fine outside, but I will say the majority of people probably wouldn't feel safe, especially if you aren't from NM.Walkability: Town is very small.Food & drinks: Waffles and juice near the reception. Nothing else really.Noteworthy details: Bed bugs and scabies.

I'm glad my wife wasn't with me. I'm used to low-end motels, and if you don't look too closely, this one was okay. The room smelled nice walking in. It seemed clean until I dropped something on the floor and got a close look. The water is very hard, but they should have changed the spout in the bathtub. (see image)

Good: Large room, nice floor, good bed, helpful staff. Cheap. The end.Bad: Needs painting, plastering, updating. So so breakfast. And yes, the hand held shower head is exclusively hand held. It does not attach to the wall any more.

It didn't seem like the room was properly cleaned. Mirror in the bathroom was dirty, with random hair in the shower, and there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. Besides that, there was a windex bottle on TV found that odd. Bed was king size and comfortable.

Not a bad little place. Pillows are at a premium, though. Being the nomad that I am, I come armed with my own pillows! It's a struggling town. Although, I haven't yet had deal with them, the homeless might ask you for some assistance, here. They are not inconspicuous. But, they aren't going bother you, either. Sleep well! Glad I found this place! You could do worse in a metropolis, for sure. Thanks, folks!!
