About Samizdat

We are an independent bookstore and teahouse based in Los Alamos, New Mexico. We have a wide variety of books, including local authors, small press, children's books, manga, and beyond! We also offer stationery, greeting cards, board games, and much more. You can also pick up a boba drink or a hot brewed tea in store.

    We came here looking for boba cause we were craving it. It was actually really really good, not too sweet, the perfect consistency. I wish more people knew about this place. If you get a milk tea get it with oat milk, it’s super good!

    I always have the best experience here. Everyone is kind and knowledgeable. The community events, especially bean night, has been a gift.
