Samizdat is an independent bookstore and teahouse in Los Alamos, New Mexico. It is an outstanding local bookstore with a wide, refined selection of top-notch books in all categories, including local authors, small press, children's books, and manga. The store also offers stationery, greeting cards, board games, and small trinkets. You can pick up a boba drink or hot brewed tea, which is the best. It is a lovely, superb place with a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The community events are a gift. It is really remarkable for such a small shop and is a great alternative to corporate chains.

We came here looking for boba cause we were craving it. It was actually really really good, not too sweet, the perfect consistency. I wish more people knew about this place. If you get a milk tea get it with oat milk, it’s super good!

I always have the best experience here. Everyone is kind and knowledgeable. The community events, especially bean night, has been a gift.
