Been shopping here since I was a little boy. I love this place. They always have what I need and more.

This used to be a boarding house & then turned into local grocery spot. As an incorporated town, that's all they needed. Matter of fact, services are good. If you confused about " honesty, Straightforward attitude" with " rudeness", you d better away from this town. They are hardworking blue-color proud locals. This is a welcoming artsy town & there's local folks hanging out all the time at porch, morning coffee or evening snacks. The relaxed ambience and small population made stand out between Santa Fe & Albuquerque. I hope no developer will come in & will take away their pride. I've heard that this place is on sale ! If you have gotta chance, go up Cave street & have reflected your life in burials ground- old cemetery ( off the grid road tho). I ll give my very 3 stars for this local business. Galleries, Coffeeshops, brewery & old mining performances on the weekend in this charming old American west town, thus you won't regret to stop by. The reception has an issue and GPS is off most of the time. You re your own in the store or in town. But hey, you can ask wifi from locals, they might provide you password, who knows ! Respect the locals, no one needs internet while they are living their lives and making crafts daily.

It's exactly what you'd expect from a groovy, well knitted community, welcoming you in with a warm family hug but, with a reserve..you'll love it, they have just about anything you'd need for a day, a week, or longer, just the town itself is worth the visit.

If you need a snack they might have it. I just felt the whole place needs vision and help. You can tell it's a community support by the bulletin board and free books. Staff tend to be reserved but friendly enough.

Stepping back to the old days. Some shelves empty but a good selection for candy.

Small convenience store in the middle of Madrid. I checked it out because the building where it's located it's old, beautiful, historic. Don't expect a huge or great selection of anything in here. Basic snacks and drinks, some souvenirs. Funny smell inside, I think the lady working behind the counter was smoking. Not the best customer service. Unless you need some water, a quick snack, skip it! Madrid has so many more cute stores in the area!

Relatively well stocked although a few items missing (canned tomatoes and sweet potatoes, but that's nit picking). Most staples available at decent prices. Friendly, helpful cashier. Nice shop!
