Excellent place for specialized tribal rugs. They are great for Tibetan and Navajo works.

Pearl was so helpful and showed us through many different options. Spent over an hour hearing about the history and design of the rugs and picked out a couple of beauties!

After waking to the comforting sound of melodious church bells, I drove from SF to a little artsy town called Madrid to a fine textile shop. And what a beautiful shop it is as I hope my pictures reveal to you.I don't need much, but I do appreciate the finer things - things well done - like handmade quality. And as I thought about the finest things in life, the most precious and beautiful and extraordinary, I thought about my love. She was handmade by God!She is precious, extraordinary, and beautiful. And all things lead me to my love.-"That's the thing with handmade items. They still have the person's mark on them, and when you hold them, you feel less alone."~Aimee Bender, The Color Master: Stories

Beautiful textiles and shop. The prices are about 20% less than the same pieces in Santa Fe. We bought a table runner, pillow and hanging textile piece. Great customer service/Owner.

We came in looking for Chimayo style rugs. We got many samples shown and a primer on what to look for when seeking quality and authenticity They also had Navajo, Tibetan, Oaxacan, Afghanistan’s, Packastani and more Pearl travelled to buy but some are now in conflict areas so she relies on lifelong contacts. She has had this store for 27 years after having been a professional ballerina We took up too much of her time most likely but we learned much. Best stop in this little tourist/artist Mecca

Super rude woman running the shop today. If you don't want paying customers in your shop then close for the day like the rest of the town does!

Nice pieces, but the woman working only cared about getting us out of the parking space even when we were still shopping. Disappointing staff was enough to persuade me not to buy anything.

Pretty ordinary southwestern textiles. The gentleman on site was busy reading, and not interested in much else.
