Me and my family love the old historic theater... And they have free classic movies on a fairly regular basis.

We attend every year for the screening of the Oscar nominated short films. Seeing any film in this historic venue is always a treat. Alcoholic drinks can be brought in when purchased next door at LA Posta, or non alcoholic beverages and snacks, including real, fresh popcorn can be purchased at the concession stand. The seats are old and not the most comfortable, so I recommend arriving early to get your pick. There are also tables where you can sit and watch from. The selection of films by the film society that runs the theater is quite eclectic. Overall, a really wonderful experience.

Only art theatre in town. Run incredibly well solely by volunteers. Wonderful community feeling.

Nice small movie theater that makes watch movies like having a big screen at home but at a theater.

Lovely experience - must use the Narnia door to attain adult beverages that can be consumed inside the theater..

Old style intimate viewing experience. Buy the magnets, support the volunteers.

This is a real gem if you enjoy the films. A local film Society shows movies. You won't see in most cases anywhere else. Real popcorn w real butter-- and they have a connecting door to La Posta and you can bring back your favorite beverage. Its all run by volunteers, who do an exceptional job. If you're cheap, like me, go on Wednesdays, where everyone is admitted for seven dollars.

Saw Dosed and Fantastic Fungi, great movies, they offer a unique film atmosphere, they serve snacks, hot teas, popcorn and sodas. Right next door to La Posta.

The ambience is nostalgic, the film choices are extraordinaire and the people drawn together to spend a few precious moments there are far above the norm.

Cute little theater. Very small and can feel a bit claustrophobic, if full.

Awesome venue!I debated catching a film here while in town overnight for business. So glad that I did!Very cool indie theatre, the kind of alternative every town needs. Indie films and live events hosted by welcoming and friendly (not overbearing) volunteers. It has an interior connection to La Posta, the restaurant next door. You can buy drinks at the bar there and take into the theatre up until 5 minutes before the show.I look forward to return business trips here so I can enjoy this place some more.

Fantastic place to see the kind of movies that would not necessarily make it to Las Cruces if it were not for the Fountian
