Charming, indeed! And extremely clean. Owner very friendly. Don't bring dogs into lobby - it freaks out the sweet kitty (a rescue). The breakfast bag with pastries and fruit was delicious. LMAO at the rubber ducky in the bathroom! Room toasty on a cold winter night. Linens and beds comfy. Owner recommended delivery from Buttercrust. Delish! We'd stay here again in a heart beat ❤️

Great place to stop on a cross-country road trip, especially when pulling a trailer. Staff was super friendly & made sure we had a great stay. Room was nice and toasty in the middle of winter, very clean. Super charming, too (there was even a little rubber ducky for the bath).

If you saw this hotel from the movie with queen latifah, just know it does not look at all run down or scabby like the way Netflix portrayed this place. It's damn near a crime how they made this place look lol. Anyway very humble people, kind, good room service, cleanest rooms available in Moriarty I've spent a night in basically every motel in this town, most of the time the floors are really grubby / clearly not washed in a long time, though it was nice to not have my socks turn black from the carpet for once at a hotel.

My family stayed here twice. Both times the room was very clean, and I felt safe. Mike was extremely friendly and infectiously cheerful. This is now my go-to motel in the Albuquerque area.

A perfect classic Route 66 motel that is still owned by the original family (who are very sweet and accommodating). Cute, clean and nice rooms with wood paneled walls and that vintage aesthetic. Highly recommend a stay here if you’re passing through the area.

What a wonderful place! The owner/manager is one of the friendliest people in the world! Called us by name when we arrived and showed us to the sweetest room we have stayed in in a long time! The heat was turned up and the beds are comfortable. Very clean and quiet! Fantastic dog walking area!Ok amendment to my review... the best part of staying here was writing the review reading the negative reviews. It is always funny reading the reviews of whiny people who think the whole world of motels should be the 2030 experience... The 70s was so much a better time of life and this motel truly shows that! This place has more love than fluff and that is the best part.A simple walk around shows an incredible love for landscape and classic beauty!Well done!Rooms: Nicely maintainedWalkability: Great dog walking area

Wonderful place on a horrible day. Our car had just been destroyed in an accident and the tow truck driver left us at the Sunset. We stayed two days while we arranged transportation and the staff could not have been kinder or more understanding. The room had no flaws. We got pizza delivered and just relaxed and slept.

I’m not a motel person but I was excited to find the Sunset Motel. My family of 4 stayed one night and really enjoyed the historic charm and vintage appeal. The ladies in the front office were super nice as well. I would absolutely stay again if I’m ever in the area.
