Mark's experience, patience, and perseverance made our two day float trip experience the best possible. The trout were not in a hungry mood, but we caught some nice ones regardless. Everything was taken care of by Mark, from lodging, to food, to alternative techniques and gear. Great memories and will try again when the temps (and moon) are more favorable.

My wife and I had the pleasure of fishing the San Juan River with Mark several years ago and had a terrific time. We recently decided to to do it again. Though we were not able to fish with Mark, Dave was an equally great guide -- friendly, knowledgeable, and a skilled teacher. And the fishing, I don't where else you go and catch 20+ trout averaging 20 inches, AMAZING! We won't wait so long to to do it again.

My dad and I have fished with Blue Sky on our last two trips to the San Juan and they are hands down the most experienced guide service on the river. Out last trip in July 2023 was incredible. We fished with Dave Torres, who is an amazingly experienced and knowledgeable guide. The San Juan can be difficult to fish, but Dave’s instructions were clear and got us on a lot of great fish including a personal best 28” brown trout. Overall, we had three great days fishing the San Juan with Dave and I highly recommend this guide service.

Great day fishing with Peggy on the river, she was patient with my novice son and had him confidently flycasting by the end of the day. Plenty of fish in the net for the day and we would highly recommend this service. Several boats floated by and all the other guides asked Peggy for guidance on rig setup, she really is the Queen of that river.

Excellent service, fishing was a bit on the tuff side flows where up for the day but, Our guide worked over duty to ensure we had a great trip. He also work really hard to get my 4 month pregnant wife big fish of the day in the boat.

My wife and I have fished with Mark twice. As novice fly fisherman Mark coaches us through the motions and puts us on the fish. Your always just one cast away from the fish of a lifetime. Highly recommended.

Spent a day on the San Jaun with Mark as our guide. I highly recommend him. His knowledge of Fly Fishing and the river, his patience, and great sense of humor made for an outstanding day. Been a long time since I've had such a productive day fishing. Caught Brown's, Rainbow, Cutbow all 15"+ on average and landed my first 20" Brown. It was awesome. Thanks for a great day Mark! Mark took my wife and I out for a full day float trip on 4/21/18. It exceeded our expectations as we landed over 20 nice fish and doubled up with a nice brown and rainbow at the same time. Dave one of the other guides at Blue Sky Fishing CO took my brother and his girlfriend and they landed a huge brown which was the fish of the day on the river. We had so many fish on and it took some time to land them correctly. Mark told us that is part of the game as sometimes you don’t land as many based on the day, flow, etc. The barbless hook and small midges makes any fish an impressive and fun catch. This river is incredible offering such nice fish on small flies.Mark was a great teacher. I have been fly fishing for a year and he taught me so much. I would highly recommend using Mark and his guides. We were catching more fish than any of the other guides and we’re using his custom tied flies. Pretty impressive as there as so many guides on the river. Mark brought so much knowledge and skill with navigating the drift boat. My wife had never fly fished and Mark made sure she had a great time. I hope to be able to fish with Mark and his team again in the future! Thanks Mark!

Went and fished the San Juan with blue sky and caught tons of fish I don't know why anyone would wade fish and not at least once do a float trip... and if you do, fish with blue sky!p.s. The lunch he provides was delicious.

We are newbies to fly fishing and our guide Dave Torres had so much patience with us. I feel bad that he had to remind us to Mend the line all 8 hours. But he did and taught us so much more! Thanks Dave!We caught 20 together. Rainbows, Cutthroat and a Brown. We will definitely be back!!!
