About Talpa Community Center
The Talpa Community Center is a vibrant hub of community life, offering a diverse range of services and activities for people of all ages. Established as a certified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in 1997, the center is managed by a five-member Board and a dedicated Director/Manager. The centerpiece is an NM Certified Public Library, boasting over 7,000 books, 400+ DVDs, and eight computers, along with copy and fax services for the public. Throughout the year, the center hosts engaging children's programs and a festive Holiday Fair with Santa. Donations are accepted year-round to fund the purchase of new books and DVDs. Beyond the library, the community center provides a treasure trove of resources, including sewing, quilting, and ceramics facilities, as well as party rental spaces with a kitchen. The staff is exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment that makes the Talpa Community Center a true hub of connection and enrichment for the local community.

Such a treasure of a community organized space- great for kids and elders! Sewing, quilting, ceramics, computers, a space to rent for parties (including a kitchen), and great libraries- one for kids and the other for adults.
