A real gem in the Taos/Red River area—I can’t imagine ever going to the mountains of northern New Mexico without an evening of food and entertainment at Bobcat Pass Wilderness Adventures’ Moreno Valley Cowboy Evenings! This was our 2nd visit in 6 years. In 2017, we had so much fun, I vowed we would have to come back again. We finally made it back in the summer of 2023, and we were not disappointed at all! It’s really great fun!The Cowboy Dinner is excellent, made outdoors right in front of you. It’s a hearty meal with your choice of grilled ribeye steak, cooked to order, or chicken, baked potato, cowboy beans, delicious honey-glazed dutch-oven biscuits, & corn-on-the cob. They have lots of cold drinks available, but I couldn’t wait to get my paws wrapped around a big tin cup of their delicious cowboy “campfire” coffee! And they top it all off with “to-die-for” ho’made cinnamon rolls—SOooo Good!!Throughout dinner time, you’ll be entertained by one of New Mexico’s favorite cowboy sons, Syd Masters, and his band of western mountain musicians. Syd is a real champion for New Mexico, it’s western heritage and the “Cowboy Way of Life”! He’s a very talented singer, songwriter and musician. You’ll hear many of his original songs, along with your favorite cowboy ballads. He’s very funny and engages the whole crowd!Be sure to come early to visit the Lewis Mercantile shop (and watch swarms of hummingbirds outside), try your hand with a lariat, or play a game of horseshoes.“This is Western Hospitality at its Finest!”Kid-friendliness: Great Fun for young and old alike!

We've now been here twice! The people from the time we call to make reservations all the way to the end of the evening are amazing at hospitality! The food is so amazing - we love our steaks we eat there with so many sides. Come prepared with a take out box from home to take extra food home if you're not a big eater! The chuckwagon ambience is so perfect at the top of Bobcat Pass! You can smell the cowboy coffee, the steaks on the grill as you find a seat. Tip: If you have a stadium seat or cushion to sit on - the hard picnic table benches could use some cushion! So you might bring your own.Syd Masters has been the entertainment both times we've been and he's so talented!!

Food was a big let down. Steaks were flavorless and tough, even cooked to medium rare. Potatoes were under cooked. Corn and cinnamon rolls were great. Biscuits were mediocre. Syd Masters is a gifted musician. I just hope you like the Marty Robbins/Bob Wills style of music. We also went to see the Michael Martin Murphey show and enjoyed it much more. Looks like they share a bass player between the two.

Great time at the Cowboy Evening! Our 3rd time at Moreno Valley over the years, and still great food and entertainment. Syd Masters is a great singer, enjoyed listening to the songs he has written, and funny banter with the crowd. I have to vote the steaks as the best I've ever had, I'm sure it's the outdoor grill. And sides are excellent. AND the cinnamon rolls. It was fun to win a bottle of their own family bbq sauce and cinnamon rolls by answering a trivia question, and doing an impromptu yodel.

We had to wait in a SLOW line to check in. By the time we got to the line there were only 8 in front of us. Took 45 minutes! When I called and reserved, the guy told me they would charge my card 2 days ahead of the date. Not sure why he said that when you had to check in and pay.The ribeye was flavorless but tender. The cinnamon rolls were fantastic. The rest was good but nothing special. The entertainment was good.

we LOVED our snowmobile tour this past Saturday on 2/26/22! we rented 2 singles and a double and went on the last tour of the day and were treated to amazing views of the sunset in the mountains. Our guides were fun and knowledgeable and we would 100% go on a tour with them again.

This is a great time. Our guide, Hank was super friendly, answered all our questions and was born and raised here so really knowledgeable. And his copilot, Cinchit, was the best. So glad we did our snowmobiling with this group.
