Worst employer I have ever worked for. Every ski in this shop is not safe, the bindings are supposed to be tork tested every year... Multiple times a year, I personally have worked here for 3 years and know for a fact that they are not, so basically your risking your safety and the safety of everyone else around you. The skis are poorly maintained and beyond the point of retirement... Bindings aren't indemnified forever and most here are no longer. Any other shop, and literally a stick tide to your feet is probably safer.

Safety first. As this shop doesn't even insure that the ski tech's are certified. Doesn't insure that their ski's and bindings are indemnified by the makers whom provide them, aka they are using such old bindings the company that makes them says they are no longer safe. They over charge for the same equipment. After working here for 3 years I can say that I regret allowing so many people to be put at risk of injury.

Worst ski shop I have ever worked for seen or belt with ever. Ski bindings aren't tork tested at regular periods as the manufacturer requires, witch means your binding could fail on you and no one would know. Unsafe ski technician practice takes place here, as to set skis you have to be certified, and unfortunately most of the ski tech's here are not. More than once have I seen them over charge for the same equipment... Basically I believe that after working here for 3 years, anyone renting from this place has a rather unhealthy death wish.

Great ski rental shop, and it’s near the lift/chalet. Would recommend renting here, but I’m leaving 4 stars because of the employee we interacted with, Mark. We could tell that the team had a very busy weekend, but Mark’s obvious frustration with our responses to the prefilled rental forms caused him to speak to my fiancé and I in such a condescending tone that I couldn’t ignore it. He felt that we were overstating our skiing capabilities, which I’m sure a lot people do by accident based on the description on the website. I don’t know if we were just the 1000 person to do it in the weekend, or if he’s just not a morning person. When I told him that he didn’t need to take such a condescending tone, he basically just shut down, didn’t apologize, and tossed our rental forms to his teammate at the front.

If you plan to use ski blades, don’t go here. For some reason the ol man is quite rude about them, plus the bindings are old and don’t accept newer style boots. The ski blades are in pretty bad shape. The skis seemed fine though, and updated. The lady in there was nice though!Ol man seemed irritated every time we asked questions about the blades or came back into the store to try something else (we was a group of 4 and all swapped just once) not like we kept coming in for swaps everyday.

If you are wanting a great experience renting ski or snowboard equipment or just a great place to go shop for ski necessities or New Mexico gifts, this is your place. We've been renting and shopping here for 8+ years and are never disappointed. They always make sure their customers are taken care of and customer service is excellent. K and his staff will take care of you.

We rented equipment from Wild Bill's for two days and were happy with the equipment. His prices were competitive to the other local rentals and the shop was conveniently located a block from the Lift House.

We have rented skis here the last 3 years and I can’t say enough good things about them. Super friendly and helpful. Great with our three kids and provide a great experience to begin and end our trips. The other places aren’t bad at all and we have used them as well but Wild Bills will be our go to for years to come.

Called to cancel a reservation due to there not being any lodging in Red River for the holiday weekend. Employee was unwilling to offer a credit to go another time other than the next day which was not helpful since traveling from out of town. Asked for a refund 3 days in advance from our reservation and employee said they do not give any refunds under any circumstances. Red River ski area was gracious enough to understand our circumstances as an out of town traveler trying to enjoy a new experience but WildBills had no empathy to our situation. Book your reservations with other business who CARE about their customers and not just try and keep your money. They claim they have a disclaimer saying if you cancel within 3 business days you will get a refund but didn’t find this disclaimer anywhere on there site.Only thing found was that “reservations MUST be ‘received’ 72 hours prior!Plan ahead. Don’t rely on WildBill’s to be human and accommodate your customer needs. Make your reservations elsewhere!!!Never experienced such poor quality customer service from a business or unwillingness for a business to keep their customers coming back. Will never do business with them again!!

Very friendly and helpful staff. They went above and beyond to make sure they found a boot for me to ski with. I will come to Wild Bill’s every year from now on and encourage you to as well. YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!

So I didn't end up actually purchasing anything. But I really appreciate the honesty of the owner and his team. I had an issue with one of my skis and they worked with me to fix it. While I was in there I shopped around and they had a good amount of selection of ski equipment. If I need anything else I'm definitely coming back to the shop

Very nice place. I like the fact that it's dog friendly. And the kitchenette was covinient for cooking. Comfortable bed too, that's a plus for me.
