“The candy is always delicious, and I love that we have such a wonderful local candy maker. The store is very clean and bright and you can watch the candy being made through windows into the kitchen if they are making at the time. Everything is well organized and easy to find, and in addition to the candy you can get some unique flavors of popcorn including green chile and cheese and a red chile popcorn! The staff is always very friendly and helpful.”

Parking: Pick your time to visit wisely. We did late Sat afternoon, glad to get sees gift but ugh to heat, crowds and hot parking.”

“Sugar Mama’s 505 is such a fun and unique local gem. I haven’t made it to the storefront yet, but I absolutely cannot wait to go and support in person. I’ve loved seeing her at countless local vendor events over the years, and every time I’m reminded just how creative and delicious her freeze-dried candies are. They’re the perfect mix of nostalgic and innovative, and always a hit with everyone who tries them. On top of that, Sugar Mama herself is absolutely awesome. She’s so cool, fun, and genuinely sweet-hearted, and you can feel how passionate she is in everything she does. It makes me incredibly proud to see a New Mexico business like this thriving. Highly recommend and very excited to visit the shop soon.”

“I went in to get a caramel apple and it was great, I definitely recommend the pinon caramel apple. I always enjoy coming here and it's my favorite place at the mall so I always make an effort to stop by when I go to the mall. The customer service was excellent and they are always very polite. I highly recommend anyone who has a sweet tooth to pay this place a visit.”
“Today, I witnessed an unpleasant situation and feel the need to speak up in defense of the store employee. She politely addressed two women and kindly asked them not to touch the candies with their hands, but to use the provided scoops instead. The women reacted with irritation and said she was “so rude.” However, I personally heard the interaction, and I can say with full confidence that there was absolutely nothing rude about the way she spoke.
As a customer, I actually felt uncomfortable seeing someone handle candies with bare hands. It made me lose any desire to purchase those items. And this is not the employee’s fault — it’s the fault of people who choose to ignore basic hygiene and respond negatively to a reasonable and respectful request.
I fully support the employee and appreciate that she tried to maintain cleanliness and order. Her request was polite, appropriate, and entirely justified — and in my opinion, this is exactly how it should be in any store.”
