My son went into the store and told the employee he wanted to activate a phone that wasn’t purchased from metro and if they are able to do it. The employee did not check to see if the SIM was unlocked and went ahead and activated the service before checking to see if the phone would work with Metro! When my son tried the phone the SIM was locked and the employee didn’t know what to do so he got the manager involved and my son was told he was basically S.O.L. and that’s the risk he took, to the employee and not my son basically brushed him off instead of dealing with him directly. That’s pretty unprofessional and should have gotten the whole situation from my son. I have had metro for about 7 plus years ball park! I went into this same location 2 months ago with the exact question and the sales associate was very helpful checked to see if the phone was locked and told me what needed to happen to get this phone activated. The only difference was I already have active service and my son did not. So walking into a store customer service should cover everything from A-Z especially when they are told that the phone was not purchased from metro. My son paid over 100 dollars to get service and now he basically was robbed by METRO-PCS BY T-MOBILE because an employee didn’t thoroughly check the phone and make sure it was compatible with your company!! The phone I switched over was an AT&T phone I purchased from a friend and I took it into the metro store like I said earlier and was told what to do and it activated just fine. I really can not believe a company does that and then says “We’re not giving you a refund” When employees are new this step should definitely be at the top of the list!! PLEASE TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES TO ASK ALL IMPORTANT QUESTIONS AND BE SURE THEY KNOW THIS PROCESS 100% before you burn another customer out of their money!

Went in with an data issue for my daughters phone and all it turned out to be was a setting issue. Great customer service and knowledgeable. Truly thankful for honest sales reps who really are there to help. Thank you MetroPCS.

Unfortunately after being a customer for A very long time the phone I bought overheats there is nothing that they could do for me because it was an upgrade so even though I spent over $600 on new phones and I've been a customer for this long they can't help me. I guess it doesn't pay to be a loyal customer. Because if I was a new customer with a new line they would have taken care of me it's ridiculous.
