I am switching to this store after a high number of exceptionally poor experiences with the Walgreens at Southern Blvd and 528. I had a number of questions on this new pharmacy's policy and needed to check on the availability of one medication that's in short supply nationally. I spoke with Garret, the most cordial, pleasant, and informed staff member I've ever encountered at a NM Walgreens' pharmacy. Five stars, Garret!! The location isn't nearly as convenient as the 528 location, but based on my call today the drive will be more than worth the extra time and expense. Thank you, Garret, for your superlative customer service!

Walgreens stinks! They are the worst pharmacy I've ever had to deal with. I called in an order 3 days ago and I'm almost out now and they hadn't bothered contacting me until today and simply said that my prescription had been canceled and it was just an ointment it wasn't a controlled substance or anything else. I am so done with you walgreens!

I went in for 2 vaccines and I ended up I waited 45 minutes. There was not a single other person there for the shot clinic. I asked the pharmacist to reschedule then the man comes out and takes me right away and I I get the shots. The first shot he gave me my arm was bruised in a 2 in diameter around the injection site and my arm hurt very badly for 4 days. I called my doctor and asked if this was normal and they said no that it was not generally something that happened. It was very painful.

This is the worst pharmacy I’ve ever dealt with by far. If your medication isn’t immediately available they will cancel the order. So if it ever does come back into stock - you’ll never know - because they’ve cancelled your order. If Walmart or CVS doesn’t have your medication in stock - they will just wait and fill your order once the medication arrives. Additionally the staff is completely unhelpful because they lack knowledge about state laws governing insulin, Medicare coverage for vaccines and therefore over charge people because they lack this knowledge. AVOID AVOID AVOID this pharmacy and Walgreens if possible - this kind of incompetence is criminal & violating state laws governing insulin costs IS criminal!

Hold/wait times are terrible. They never truly answer, you get immediately put on hold when you call and when it breaks through and rings they just pick it up and put you back on hold. I wouldn't mind if this was every now and then and not an all the time thing. This time I waited until they didn't put me on hold anymore, they just let the phone ring until I was disconnected from the call altogether. Wasted about 15 minutes on this call only to have to call again. That is just rude.I switched over to CVS near my work since this area didn't have a lot of other options. They are much better!!

I hate the new "smart" doors you have in your cooling area ..now I just open the doors and leave them open while deciding, I will be going to CVS where I can shop without looking at more screens

Great staff clean and fast as possible!;!; Love myyy pharmacy staff, be nice to them! They don't have staffing!! Corporate office cut all hours!!; so, people quit! They are doing THIER Best!! And CVS, Walmart and? Have stopped taking Medicaid so they are crazy busy!

Interestingly the pharmacy has no problem receiving my prescription from me, but they lose the refill approval from the doctors office. Lately they have been trying to bill my insurance for 3 month prescription when my doctor writes "30 day"Which causes complications. The only reason I gave them two stars as opposed to one is because the store manager is willing to help if you have to take it that far to get him involved.

My husband and I have had people in the pharmacy with the very worst attitude of any business we can think of. They are rude, unkind and unhelpful. They have no time to a helpful employee. It has been this way for over two years. I am now moving my prescribed medications elsewhere. There is a very kind, knowledgeable pharmacy right across the street.Too bad no one monitors all of these bad reviews.Walgreens used to be the best! Not anymore.

Expect to wait an hour in line to get a prescription. The drive thru takes more than 15 minutes between cars. This is the most inefficient business I have ever seen. Having my Rx called in here is the worst and damn my Dr for sending it here. The lunch break is ridiculous! When you operate this slowly you don’t deserve to close for lunch!!! This is the worst location for pharmacy in the day, need anything at 2am the night shift Pharmacist is great, she’s fast and helpful. Daytime is rude, and slow.

This particular Walgreens always has a very long and very slow line through the drive-thru and inside to get prescriptions. The store is generally deserted except for the pharmacy. I don't know if the staff does not care or what but it's ridiculous for the wait times

They don't answer the phone and have no problem placing you on an infinite hold. If you need someone on the phone, I suggest you use their callback feature as it was the only way for me to get to a person. The reason I needed to speak to someone was because they had someone else under my phone number and refused to look me up any other way. Other reviews mention this and it is definitely still a problem. I will never use this pharmacy for my prescriptions, even if they become the only one in my area. Seriously the most unprofessional pharmacy staff in Rio Rancho. Zero stars is too many for a place like this.

Walgreens on southern and unser has the worst customer service. They are slow and unorganized. Get it together... like cvs.. horrible at answering the phones acting like the unemployment office

Every time I go they give my points to someone else who is still using my phone number and instead of asking me for my name, they just select the other person… EVERY TIME. Then I have to go back to the store so they can print me a physical receipt because of course, it’s emailed to that other person. Now this person knows where I shop and what I buy. Definitely not going to bother trying to build points anymore because it’s such a hassle and it’s become an invasion of privacy!Retrain your employees.The pharmacy has been good to me, though. This negative review is strictly for the reps who work at the check out counter.

Worst Walgreens location I have ever dealt with out of 3 states!!!! You can’t get anyone on the phone after telling the call center people you need to speak with the actual pharmacy. They put you on hold several times, just to be hung up on. Glad they are not 911 dispatchers, people would be dead if so. They are rude, and act as if they are being inconvenienced by the callers. Tony or Anthony is the only nice one at this location who treats you kindly. Due to my sons meds being a “controlled” medication I can’t go thru the call center department. They need better staff, nicer staff, and someone who takes phone calls since the call center people can’t handle all medication refills. absolutely ridiculous!!!! I put off filling meds because I absolutely dread calling, waisting my time to just get any service. This is the worst customer service ever…. Love what y’all want to call a “Karen”, because you all lack at answering a phone call, and then having the audacity to get an attitude with me because I am frustrated with how poorly you all act, and do you’re jobs!
