We had a great experience of visiting the museum. The information is interesting enough to keep our six years old son engaged for close to 1.5 hours. He watched almost every video and asked questions about aliens. We were learning the discovery and history along with him.

I’m not sure what other people expected to see, but it is exactly what my husband and I expected. It’s a neat place where you can learn the timeline of events after the announcement of the UFO crash in Roswell. The exhibits provide detailed information of the time of the crash, the people involved, and circumstances surrounding the cover-up.There is a lot of reading, and it would be helpful if The information was enlarged so that more people could read it at once. Other than that, the exhibits are neat.

Out of OrderTechnicsl DifficultiesAnd you don't know it until you try to go to the viewing room and or the virtual reality room. Tickets should have been half price or refunded but staff looked cheaply so many warned those coming in.Shot a wad of cash and twenty minutes. Would give zero stars if the app would take that ratingRIP OFFUnfortunately we weren't told the film area was closed, several people were waiting in that area, so I asked one of three people, that seem to like to duck low behind the counter, when the film starts. She said, we are having technical difficulties today. I suggested they put a sign on the door then as many people were in their awaiting the film. The three looked at each other as if maybe I should do that.We went through the other displays which one could Google, excited to reach the reality room, which -guess what? Was closed. There was at least a sign on that door.Went to the gift shop for the second time as we thought maybe we would get a little more entertainment then twenty minutes.Went to the research library twice. Filled with books and another introvert behind the counter trying to hide in a robin egg blue sweet jacket who spoke to none of us three the two visits to the library.Selling tickets without heads up that the two biggest attractions to the place are closed and not even bothering to put sign on the door of one not working is lame. After our half visit and me suggesting one of the, doing nothing, front counter people put an out of order sign on the out of order presentation room I went back to check. Lights still on the room, no sign.Obviously for three staff in the "counter pay now area"-the lights weren't on either.Neither were the lights on with the introverted downer in the research room.We laughed when two groups mentioned in the gift shop that the two main attractions in the place were close to hear the larger employee say "well we don't know when things are going to break" to several in their group that asked.HeardThe place is all over staffed with inept and uncaring staff.Don't make this a destination, and if you do pass through enjoy one of the cute antique shops or cute McDonald's.We should have been given a refund. The guy at front desk was asked by several and just looked like "huh"I posted two pics to the Dunkin Donuts and McDonalds where one can grab some fun photos. The rest of the photos are to a tired and broken down museum that I think you should pass on.Just google and read about the cool things online and save some bucks!

We are retired and we travel full time. We visit a lot of museums throughout the United States. The International UFO Museum and Research Center and Gift Shop was a lower quality museum experience offering small fonts on small placards containing way too much information on each throughout the entire museum. Guests having to closely hover together trying to get a glimpse of what they say is not what a museum should be. We cannot imagine trying to entertain children here for any length of time. The movie room and the lights/sound/video room were minimally informative. The gift shop, however, did provide some nice trinkets and treasures, bring our review from a one to a two.

We stopped in roswell on our way from White Sands. The museum was really more than I was expecting. The stories, the pictures, the information was all engrossing. They do allow pets, and give a senior discount, so definitely worth the trip. Dont forget to visit the gift shop - we ended up spending more than I would thought , but its a once in a lifetime visit. We got there shortly after it opened and it was already a little busy. There is a small parking lot next to the building and lots of parking on the street. They do give a senior discount. Dont forget to visit all of the little shops near the museum.

A few months back, I took my daughter to this museum! The best part in the museum that my daughter actually wanted to take pictures with, and was so amazed With was the guard. I don’t know what company she works with, but she truly was a Gift to interact with sweet Charming. And my daughter just loved her. To the workers specially, those two women, one of them had dirty looking blonde hair tattoo on her arms that didn’t connect and the other one that came from the back and said she was in charge on the weekends and the old lady that wears her hair into pig tails you are classless, rude, horrible people, that were jealous over someone that Guarded your Company. You are what’s wrong with America and to the old lady. You looked higher than I have seen anyone ever. To the skinny one that was with the one in the back complaining about how she had to work in the warehouse. You belong there away from customers I heard you tell that guard that you swing when you’re scared. That guard looked like she could handle you twice over. You are classless. Trashy. Clean up your museum and we will go back.

Let’s be real = if the UAP or UFO stuff lately fascinates you at all - this is the place to go.And the price includes parking and a wrist band to get back in after you explore the town - if only to use the clean restrooms - most of the gift shops don’t have restrooms you can use.And that is a very nice thing.I found the content interesting too. Like the original radio broadcast of the national news reporting the event. Look closely for buttons to push. This one was at the old fashioned radio in the first room.we both enjoyed ourselves completely. And we came here because it was on the way to our Carlsbad Caverns adventure… and sure glad we stopped.A lovely town and delightful placeVal

Not expensive to enter and bigger than I expected. Filled with lots of artifacts, articles, and memorabilia from alien-themed movies/shows. They had a library filled with books that you could enjoy reading. They had movies and information you could also look through. The interactive exhibits were neat. The gift shop was nice. Worth checking out an hour or 2…

This was so fun! We’re on a cross country RV trip with our 4 year old daughter and goldendoodle. We’ve visited the space museum in Houston, Magnolia Silos in Waco, and Meteor Crater in AZ and this was MY favorite. Awesome staff, Stacey in the gift shop was so helpful, very interactive, and very informative. We will definitely recommend everyone we know to visit and will be back next time we’re out this way. And it’s dog friendly! They were happy to have our (well behaved) dog enjoy the museum with us.

I feel like it's a right of passage for anyone travelling through Roswell to stop here for skeptics and believers alike. The museum is not very big and quick to get through.

I guess when in Roswell, this is a must see place? There's not really enough space to accommodate the amount of traffic that they receive. Most everything is literature and not too much is super visual. When it's crammed packed, you can't really read the literature. Not sure it's worth the money. When you make your way to the exit, there is a gift shop with way overpriced merch. That's about it. You could save your time and just read about the Roswell incident online and purchase souvenirs from one of the better gift shops along Main.

Updated since COVID shutdown. The museum has much more of an aerospace look and feel now, compared to the small-town conspiracy theory feel several years ago. I was really happy to see some JWST stuff in there and my son loved the NASA space suite display. Exhibits have been upgraded and the souvenir shop is much nicer! When we are out west, we try to route our trip through Roswell just to catch-up on this place.

Went in skeptical - left a believer. This museum is very well organized with news articles, historic artifacts, and exhibits which compliment each other with just enough verifiable information to inspire the visitor to want to know more. The staff is friendly, the museum is very family and dog friendly. It is a truly unique and worthwhile place to visit.

We came, we saw, we can check Roswell off the list. The museum is very nice, I'd set aside about an hour or so for it. Family of five will be about $25 to get in. Centrally located in downtown, parking lot next to the museum.

Our families liked this interesting museum. The kids loved the interactive spaceship experience that has the loudest speakers on the block. They also loved the free computer games. It was interesting to read some of the stories from encounters and experiences. Wish we got to spend more time here but with 6 kids altogether, we had to go in and out. We liked the gift shop and the options were great but unfortunately our 5 yo picked up a snow globe and dropped it. It was nice the gift shop didn't charge us but they watched us like a hawk while we were in the gift store and walked after our families which is why I deducted one star. I can understand following us but talking to the older kids about whether or not to pick something up seemed inappropriate since our older kids didn't drop anything. That bothered me and I couldn't wait to leave the gift shop. Anyway, it's a fun place but be careful with kiddos who have grabby hands lol.
